I like the fact it does not have a cut out for a belt clip.

I believe the ebay auction you were looking at is for the GSM diamond.

thx for the recommendation on that case. i decided to buy one for my sprint version. i had been thinking of one from seidioonline, but very expensive compared to this. either way, i won't be out that much money if i don't like it.

Confirmed. Bought a $7 clear one from somewhere; it fit except the area around the stylus. Dropped it once and it flew apart. I would assume most hard cases would fly apart on impact on something hard. But the initial hit at least will be taken from the case, not the phone

Agreed; but the ease at which these fall apart makes it rather worthless to me as my phones usually endure rough physical conditions. In other words; more than one impact :) So far I'm doing rather well with the OEM pouch, flimsy plastic case, with invisible shield on the front. I'd like to see a metal case one of these days.
