Hello is there a reg hack to have the keyboard automatically pop up when putting the phone on landscape during texting/emailing?

yea, thsi would be nice. vertical size of the diamond is quite narrow for touch texting. i must use stylus to type faster.

i'm using the long press send key or whatever it is that comes built into the juicy ROM. but yeah that would be nice.

Yeah i'm using Gyrator for texting on landscape but am tired of having to hit the button to pop up the keyboard. So does anyone have a reg hack to have the keyboard pop up automatically in landscape?

gyrator? i dont mind hitting the button. does gyrator come with juciy 2.5 or do i need to download it separately. landscape qwerty is soooo gooood.

Just download this, copy it to your Diamond and install it.

i've got gyrator sitting on my internal storage, haven't had a chance to play w/it yet though...

sounds like it has alot of potential though

It is amazingly good. And you can setup exclusions for apps, which is nice too.

Gyrator 2 on Juicy 2.5 with PCM keyboard, PCM Diamond VGA skin, SIPchanger, in landscape = creamy.


PS... auto popup can be edited in Advance Config under input options.

What about xda's gsen app? It automatically rotates the screen in any position. The keyboard should redraw for landscape too seeing that it does so for Opera.

The GSEN app over at xda has issues with CDMA Diamonds for some reason. The Gyrator 2 app that I attached in a previous post is the newer version and works flawlessly.

I was using Toucpal but gave it up for PCM after Gyrator was released because the landscape mode is way better.

So, anyway... to answer your question... yes, Touchpal works fine.

How do you remove the lock device stuff...it only does it once in a while and its annoying...

edit events, its a stylus in even that locks. remove it. i hated it too.

i tried the landscape texting. it pwns hardcore. i set it to landscape if stylus is in, and locked to normal if its out.

is it possible to autorun, or startup this gyrator thingy.

ok so I downloaded PCM and gyrator, and gyrator is cool. But, PCM.....is weird. It's not drawing the keyboard correctly...the letters arent inside the squares...and the skins arent really helping. If anyone else has had this issue and can help anything would be appreciated!

Ok, how exactly do i setup gyrator so that it will auto rotate to landscape mode when I want to text, I can't seem to figure it out.

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out, I was closing gyrator after changing the settings, I now realize it has to stay running in the background. Also you don't need to change any settings for it to work, it comes by default (for those who are having trouble like me).

i was having some trouble myself isolating the rotation to the text window, so now i have it rotate everything which i'm actually kinda liking.

set it up to react w/all windows, 0 in the first column, 63 (for any position) in the second column, and 1 in the last column to rotate screen.

have you opened it and changed the settings after you installed it? you gotta go to the input section, and then enable the SIP to open automatically

I'm using gyrator... now my phone and keypad rotate. Can I stop this without affecting the text messaging setting? Please help. Thanks.

I just installed Gyrator 2 on my Sprint Diamond Touch. I got an error message that says it requires a newer version of the Microsoft Net Compact Framework the version installed on this device. Where do I get the new version?
