Texting with word match is driving me insane
 

I have shut everything off in Settings->Input->Word Completion

The word complete is still on and it's terrble.

I'll type out the correct word and as soon as I hit space it substitutes what ity thinks is a better word (which many times it's not).

Then when I go back to edit it or delete a couple letters it's starts stuff stuffing in a another completed word. The whole message becomes uneditable.

I just want to shut it off and have it do nothing.

How can I do that? Registry Edit I assume.

Your using touchpal right? go into the keyboard selection like where it lists your keyboards and click options with touchpal selected and do it from there.

yeah i hate how on ur last word, and you click send the stupid black bar doesn't go away.. i dont' want to turn of word completion i just want it to go away when i'm done with the message..

i know what you mean man... that was why i stopped using that keyboard i suggest the new diamond keyboards, they are similar, there are 3 and they are all a different layout ill get you i link in a sec

The problem I've been having is when I type a word and a suggestion comes out on top, when i tap that word it doesnt insert a space after the word. My old Touch did this....its so annoying!

I like the small stock keyboard. I use the stylus. Looks like windows mobile keyboard with 3D looking keys.

I'll go in the registry and kill all the htc keyboards if that's what I have todo to kill that word complete piece of crap.

All I ever do with HTC phone in the first few months is figure out how to disable all HTC software. It's always missing that last 5% to make it actually useful.

Ah I found it.

If you click arrow next to keyboard Icon it gives choice of keyboards and also offers "Touch Input Settings". In there you can shut off word completion.

Well that turned most of it off. But it still has the line there and sometimes doubles words. This only happens in text messaging. Anyone know how to kills this?
