yeah, i really hate that.. when you're texting somebody, and it shows the word you want but you typed it all out already, and then you send the message and the black bar with the word you typed is still there. what i usually do is hit space after the text is done to make it go away, but it should know that you no longer need that word up there if you already sent the message, you know?

if u take the keyboard off t9 u get rid of th black bar permanently after i did this i noticed my typing skills went through the roof lol

i'm so used to t9 that i really don't want to give it up.. i just hate when you leave the window up and you're waiting for a response, and that black bar is there with the last word you typed, covering the response you're waiting for.

Just make sure that you hit enter before pressing send and you will not be stuck with that black bar. Yes its annoying if you forget to hit enter.

you can turn the bar off by hitting the T9 on/off switch to turn it off and then back on

I have no idea what you mean by hitting the T9 on/off switch.

I'm using the stock full querty screen keyboard.

And I tried toggling the T9 word complete option but it did nothing.

I don't use T9 and don't even know how to turn it on.

the button to the left of the keyboard it says "ABC T9"

just tap it once and the switch should shift over from T9 to the ABC side on the left

Thanks. You are not using the same KeyBoard I'm using. I'm using the one called "Keyboard" (No T9 switch) you are using the one called "Full Qwerty" (has T9 switch).

I hate the one called "Full Qwerty". The one called "KeyBoard" is closer to a real KeyBoard and I like it. I use the arrow keys all the time.

When using the "Full Qwerty" that black bar never even comes up.

When using the "Keyboard" that black bar is always there.

Anyone know how to set your favorite keyboard as a default? Reg edit? For example, I only use the "keyboard" but after a soft reset the Touch Diamond keyboard is presented and I have to reset it to "keyboard". Annoying feature of my current rom. (throttle)

I was worried about the same thing but for some reason it's sticking after soft reset.

I'm running stock Sprint ROM.
