Screen comes on automatically
 

I've already had to replace my first Diamond because the front buttons were not working properly. I also noticed the first one would just turn the screen on randomly with no notifications. I've had my replacement for about 8 hours now and they both run on at the exact same times. My best guess is that it's going in and out of data area maybe? But I find that hard to believe because I'm in a good area, everything works extremely fast where I am.

I'm still new to Windows Mobile so maybe I have something setup wrong? I have my e-mail set to check manually and same with weather. You guys have any ideas? I'm sure this isn't helping my battery life either.....

It could be that it is loosing the Sprint signal and connecting to a Roaming signal. That occurs with mine. You can attempt to go into the phone settings and set it for Sprint only service to see if that solves the problem.

Not quite, my Touch did the same thing even in airplane mode and now my Diamond does the same thing to. Check this out, I had them sitting next to eachother and they both went off at the time one night in my house, they lit that mother up.
