That absolutely will not fit. The GSM is much more sharp on the edges, not round like CDMA. Also, the GSM one doesn't wrap around the usb plug like the CDMA one does. Lastly, the GSM one has a slightly lower stylus holder.

DO NOT BUY GSM for a CDMA PHONE!

ive painted many a car's interior and only 1 has come out like that and it was because of not enough prep work, cheap paint, and me not caring because it was my car.

Just like my brother---God rest his Soul---his truck looked like he painted it with a broom!

That has brush stroke markings, Airbrush uses dropplets and doesn't leave it in that result..

You'd be better off making a mold of it and making one out of fiberglass or some other material than getting a GSM one to fit. The tabs are all wrong and it has less material on the bottom near the usb than the CDMA.

I think the guy that painted the back of your(op) phone did it to enhance the grip...so now you could like try to throw your phone but it'll stick to your hand. Some super sci-fi glue paint he used there...

(disclaimer: Don't try throwing your phone to test this theory)

I would get it laser engraved.

http://tattoo4electronics.com/default.aspx

If you look on the left side, there is an HTC touch that is engraved with a dragon, thats actually my phone.

I was pretty pleased with the work.

Maybe he did such a poor job with the paint because he saw how sweet the phone was and tried to make it look janky so that no one would want to try and steal it.

See, he was just trying to help :)
