Re: Don't do this to your diamond haha..
at least he was kind enough to at least attempt to cover the logo before dropping it in tar.
ive painted many a car's interior and only 1 has come out like that and it was because of not enough prep work, cheap paint, and me not caring because it was my car. |
Re: Don't do this to your diamond haha..

Re: Don't do this to your diamond haha..
if you buy a 2000mah Diamond battery from the UK it comes with the GSM back that fits over this bigger battery. it will add 3MM to the depth of our diamond, BUT its a replica of the HTC GSM back plate., and a bigger battery ;)

Re: Don't do this to your diamond haha..
IDK what to tell ya. I said in my post to watch out for the clear plastic. I used High temp spraycan engine paint and it turned out excellent, even has that rubberized feel to it. I've also painted alot of things, airbrush too. Made a few bucks with it. But yeah that does look pretty bad..
Heres my advice since you can find a replacement back. Sand it down your self again, go with a rough grit, then a medium, then a superfine. Mask the camera plastic with some good masking tape to protect it. Cut around the camera plastic piece with a razor blade to pull off the piece that extends onto the area your going to be sanding. Get some plastic polish, there are some out there that will do a great job at removing that sandpaper haze. Work your way to a shine using different grades if your using thatkind of plastic polish, until it's smooth and shiny. After it's sanded and the shiny plastic is shiny again, remove any excess dust with a microfiber towel. Then re-mask the shiny plastic. Spray thin layers of a satin finish paint. Possibly even matte finish. But dont do gloss, it'll be sticky. Wait for each layer to dry, then spary another thin layer. I did about 20 on mine. Good luck if you decide to do this on your own. Practice on some other objects first, old cell phone or something. |
