Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

This is a bit frustrating.

On the Diamond. Using the File Explorer App.

I open Internal Storage. I have created a Music Folder there. The mp3 is in the folder.
BUT- still when i go to sprint music store and click "Library", it doesnt find the mp3.

I can easily open and listen to the mp3 with WinMedia, but the damn thing just will not appear in the Sprint store.

Well, I dunno what to tell ya...

The only thing I can think of is that you're missing some small, minor detail. Retrace your steps.

Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

On Diamond:
Step 1 - Open File Explorer, Navigate to Internal Storage
Step 2 - Create "MP3 Music" Folder

Step 3 - Connect Diamond to PC via USB as disk drive

Step 4 - Drag and Drop MP3 into "MP3 Music" on "removable disc drive"
Step 5 - Disconnect USB

Step 6 - Go to Sprint Music Store and click Library.

Does not find the MP3 I just dropped in MP3 Music Folder on Diamond Internal Storage.

*** Additionally, I have:
- Shut down the phone and re-started. No Effect.
- Copy the MP3 from Internal Storage on the Diamond and Paste it into "MUSIC" folder on "My Device". No Effect.

I can't believe I'm too stupid to figure this out.

Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

Either your settings need to be looked at for a possible complication or your device may just be faulty. Some have reported moody Internal Storages.

Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

Any idea on what setting might be at fault for the problem?

I doubt that it is the internal storage as the OP stated that he can open the file in WinMedia...

Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

I just checked mine and here is what I see:

3 songs in the /internal storage/music/ directory
10 songs in the /internal storage/Metallica - Death Magnetic directory
4 ringtones in the /internal storage/files/ringtones directory
1 song in the /internal storage/ directory

So mine seems to be searching the full internal storgae card automatically. I know this because the one song in the root of the internal storage is one that I dumped there yesterday to make a ringtone out of really quick, and then forgot.

Re: 2 Quick Questions for Diamond Config

Perhaps there is some Setting for Sprint Music that I'm missing/hasn't been set for the "Library" to search for all songs - or something.
