problem with emailing

i'm using the regular emailing functions for the diamond. just created a new account using my yahoo mail. for some reason it works for about a day and then it starts saying for me to login, and i know my pass is correct but it will never go past that screen. what email apps are u guys using? i tried seven but my battery drain is terrible already without using an app that uses that much battery. so does anyone have another idea? or maybe a suggestion on how to make it work properly. any help is appreciated

I use Pocket Outlook to sync with my Exchange server and have no issues.

I also use Pocket Outlook to get email from two other domains, via IMAP. I also have no issues there.

@ TheDude: Check to make sure that your email host does not require you to send emails with authentication. This is very typical and if you do not have that checked in your settings (it usually uses the same username/password as your incoming mail) than your email will not go out, because you are not authenticating (when required). However you would still be able to receive email.

I had a similar problem. Make sure your user name is your entire email address. (ie. thedude@yahoo.com)

Don't you have to pay a nominal fee to use yahoo on pop3/imap?

That's what I thought. Sprint's instruction guides state that you have to have Yahoo Mail Plus. I didn't want to pay the fee and thought I would give it a try anyway (normal yahoo mail). It works!!! I get my newest mail sent to my phone. Haven't really tried sending email through Yahoo so not sure if that works. However, I have noticed that my Diamond keeps clearing out my Yahoo mail inbox...only keeps the most recent emails. Does the same thing on gmail too?
