Most interesting free Diamond apps Downloads here.

I created this thread for the collection of the most interesting DIamond and touch pro app I can dig on XDA and on the whole internet. I hope U can find what U think can be helpful for U. I cannot put all the apps on 1 post so I will use this first post as a table of contents for the location of the apps inside the thread. Tips and links are always welcome guys. So come and lets make this thread a 1 stop shop for diamond apps. Thanks

If U have question about the app, Pls, go to the thread provided in the app post coz U will have a bigger chance to have ur question answered in there. This is to keep our thread clean and loaded with apps and less page for discussion. Thanks to mah brotherman syanni for pointing it out.

All Donation links goes to the creator/developer of the app. I have no in any way have anything to do with donation buttons. all credits goes to them also,So if U come across these guys. give them thanks.

If U wanna give me some love, I appreciate ur thanks button very much.
Thanks to the following members for their input not only to this thread but for the whole site in general. Give this guys thanks if U see them:

Re: Klaxon 2.0 - Skinnable! Alarm Clock G-Sensor on cab. Get it here!!!

If anyone experiences a bug with Klaxon, please post a description of the bug, steps to reproduce the problem, and attach the \Program Files\Klaxon\Klaxon.txt file to the post.
Thanks to a kind soul from XDA-Developers, I've been able to mirror my various downloads on their hosting service, for free! Thanks again to Rich from BlurryFox!
Thanks to expo7 from XDA-Developers for the new UI design!

If you like my work, donations are appreciated!

I have discontinued development on the original UI. This alarm program is designed for a phone that has a high resolution display and sensor capabilities.

Not yet completed:
  • Volume control.
  • Figure out this Home Screen Integration mess...
Version 2.0.0.12
This is a beta build to test out the new skinning functionality.

Instructions on how to create a skin:
Download the CAB for latest version of Klaxon: http://koushikdutta.blurryfox.com/KlaxonSetup.cab
Download the TestSkin: http://koushikdutta.blurryfox.com/TestSkin.zip

Install Klaxon.
Open the TestSkin.zip. Copy the TestSkin directory into your Klaxon folder (usually \Program Files\Klaxon).

Start Klaxon.
Go to Settings
Choose "TestSkin".
Press OK and Klaxon will exit.
Restart Klaxon to see the skin (it will be the same as default).
Edit the textures to create your own skins! The images don't have to be the same size as the ones I use! (You can make buttons bigger or smaller if you want.)

Using Klaxon is pretty straightforward; it's more or less like the standard Clocks and Alarms application.

You can download Klaxon from my website.

Note: I take no credit and the donation button goes to the creator. Not to me. Thanks

There are quite a few excellent GPS tracker application around, but still I decided to write my own... It is known that the GPS hardware takes a lot of battery power, so I wanted to be able to switch GPS on/off on pre-defined intervals, instead of keeping it ON all the time.

The tool logs GPS data into a binary files, which can be loaded back for viewing, or saved into .kml / .gpx, to view in e.g. GoogleEarth. Tested on Diamond (standard UK model with standard ROM).

Please read "Readme.html" inside .zip for instruction.

A complete source code in C# is attached as well. Feel free to change anything you like, but please send me you comments/bug fixes.

version 1.17 Added LookAt tag, to position the "camera" correctly, so hopefully you will see it OK in GoogleEarth. Added output into .GPX.

version 1.18 Fixed the kml output (finally!?) - was writing commas instead of dots in some regional setting

version 1.21. Completely re-written GPS engine, shall be much more stable now. Removed GPS valid time settings (was confusing), have a new algorithm to detect fresh GPS samples after an OFF time. Added GPS status indicator to show num sats, SNR, DHOP, etc.

version 2.25. Thanks to expo7, the tool has a new look ! Also you can set your own images for button/background (see readme)

version 2.27. Created CAB file: had to write own FileOpen dialog, as the build-in one did not want to see any files if installed into "Program Files". Added knots/nautical miles to display units. Added time and altitude to every point in GPX output.

Turn your Diamond/Touch pro into a free air mouse for your PC

Hi all,
I'm proud to announce my first GSensor based app is ready to download.
It is app working like Logitech MX Air (like not the same), so you can control mouse remotely including scroll wheel.

I called this app GRemote because I hope to include other features like:
- Touchpad for devices which don't have GSensor
- Keyboard
- GMedia - applet to control apps like Winamp, PowerDVD etc...
- Game Controler - but this can be more difficult because of windows driver required
- GRemoteServer for Windows and Linux!!!

Usage
-Unzip attached file
-Install GRemoteSetup.CAB on you device
-Run GRemoteServer.exe on you PC
-Enter correct IP address in GRemote app on you Diamond or press "Find" button
-If you use GSen remember to add this app to GSen config
- This app use UDP 5656 port so disable it in firewall on your PC (NOT in router)
- Tap and hold you screen to move mouse or use "Withouttouch" mode (press pad centre)
- Communication between client and server is realized with TCP/IP so you need to use any network connection - if you are using Windows Firewall and have problems with connection try this help http://www.windowsecurity.com/articl...-Firewall.html

Requirement
- Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en)
- HTC Touch Pro or Diamond for GMouse applet (other applets should work on other devices, but now there is only one applet)

Now I'm working on....
- Keyboard support
- Linux server
- Fixing knowns bus

gMeter for HTC Touch Diamond/Pro

gMeter is an application that turns the HTC Touch Diamond/Pro into a vehicle performance computer. By using the onboard accelerometer in these devices, gMeter can measure forward and lateral g forces.

Re: Most interesting free Diamond apps Downloads here.

Diamond Beer has been updated to version. Version 2 features:
- Beer “label” on your glass.
- Multiple types of drinks: “Duvel” is the default, and a root beer (non-alcoholic) for kids.
- Bubbles in the glass which always drift up.
- If you tilt your “glass” to far, the beer empties immediately.
- A nice icon in the Programs group

See videos here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCM6S...lerometer-game

Diamond beer 2

Is this what you had in mind for the beer ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif

A first rough application that simulates drinking. Again not yet as complete as I wanted it to be.

Usage:

Start the program and keep close to your mouth, you don't want to spill the beer ! Next "drink" from your PDA.
Menu -> New Drink refills your glass/PDA.

Any feedback about problems is appreciated !

BTW: usefulness: keeps stress levels down. (Studies show that even the anticipation of a joke can reduce your stress-level by 70 % !)

New version:

DiamondBeer2, which is developed with C++ and does not rely on the .NET CF framework.

Enhancements:
- Beer "label" on your glass.
- multiple types of drinks: "Duvel" is the default, and a root beer (non-alcoholic) for kids http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...ies/tongue.gif (shows how "skins" would work).
- Bubbles in the glass ( go always up)
- If you tilt your "glass" to far, the beer empties immediately. (careful, you might get wet)
- Icon in "programs" group is again not visible now

Done:

- added "foam" (not for all drinks). I could use some artistic help here, because I need a texture which allows me to draw foam without "lines" in it. This is the first rough graphic, I am working on improving the algorithm.
- added "glass" again. Still not optimal, maybe better when I convert the application to OpenGL ES
- uses full-screen mode. Tap on the screen to get the menu back
- better algorithms for flow of beer and foam. I got the rough ideas now, just need to work them out. I think I have a better version already, but I am still not satisfied.
- Foam gets smaller the longer the beer is standing still

<b>Still todo:</b>
- Use a better particle engine for the bubbles.
- Get better colors, especially the B-C does look terrible. (checkout what B-C stands for)
- Add sound (any pointers to examples are appreciated).
- better artistic images.
- User managed drinks.
- Implement "shaking" so foam gets increased.
- Save settings
- User setting for "drink-rate" (saved for next start)

Help needed:
- Pointer to "blending" code examples for drawing the glass
- Texture for foam and/or beer (maybe even brown or red ales ?)
- Other help needed: how can I detect that the PDA is shaken ?

Future enhancements I am thinking about:

- Adding ice-cubes for some drinks (and no ... never for beer http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif)

Important:

If you like my applications, consider a donation to Koushik.
After all it is thanks to his (and the many other developers) work and readiness to share it that I can write these programs. I (currently) still get enough satisfaction in writing these programs.

Sensory Overload

http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...yoverload1.jpg

see the video in action here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVn9X...r-game&paged=2

A few days ago I published the Managed OpenGL ES wrapper. As a proof of concept, I went so far as to create a simple game for the HTC Touch Diamond that utilizes the G-Sensor, Nav Sensor, and the 3D hardware capabilities of the device. The end result is a simple "Asteroids" type game I call Sensory Overload.
The game is simple:
  • Move the ship by tilting the device.
  • Don't run into an asteroid.
  • Blow up the asteroids into tiny pieces.
  • When an asteroid spawns (it will be faded out), you have 5 seconds to get away from it before it can hurt you.
  • Rotate the Nav sensor clockwise to fire a bullet.
  • Rotate the Nav sensor counter clockwise to fire a spray of bullets. You can only use this special ability once every 5 seconds.
  • Asteroids spawn every 15 seconds.
This is mostly intended as a demo or proof of concept to provide other developers starting ground to create their own amazing games for the HTC Touch Diamond.
Known Bugs:
  • Small asteroids are hard to explode. The bullets travel "through" them between repaints, so they never actually collide. I may fix this in the future.
Click here to download the full source to Sensory Overload.
Click here to download the Sensory Overload CAB file to play the game.

v0.3

This is a little application that will simulate key presses (on the D-pad) or scroll while you tilt your device. It will soon be usable in many games (e.g. racing games where it isn't really great to use the D-Pad). It is actually usable with a lot of desktop-softwares, like Manila, etc...

Here is some explanations about the control panel:

Application name: This is where you introduce the application's name (the one which appears on the top of the window)
Tilt key: Which key the software simulates when you tilt your device to the left. The tilt side never changes, even if you rotate your device. It is based on when you hold your device in portrait mode flat down.
Tilt sensivity: this is a number (between 0 and 100) setting the tilting minimal for the action to be sent. The more you're close to 0, the more sensitive it will be. If you set it to 100, it will never trigger.
Interval: the interval at which keys are pressed. This means that if you set it too low, while tilting your device, a lot of keys will be sent. It is calculated in milliseconds. So if you set it to 1000, when you tilt your device, it will simulate 1 press per second, per key. Setting it low enough is useful for games, for example.

Re: Most interesting free Diamond apps Downloads here.

[APP]Waterlevel 0.2 (Another waterlevel application!)
Well, there are already a couple of applications out there already, but i was playing with the SDK and just trying some stuff out in visual studio so i thought, why dont i just release it?

Its a first release, it does work, has some basic calibration and im trying to make a bit more visually appealing that just some bars http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

So,

version 0.2:

- Updated graphics of the "Circle" compass/meter. Now actually looks like a compass thingy :P
- Added the ability to actually save the calibration data, and to let you know its doing something and its done.
- Created an CAB Installer to install the addon.
- Made all pictures internal resources.

version 0.1:

shows an Water level for the X and Y Axis, an circle "meter" and an light meter. There arent any big bugs that i know off, but i didnt implement the "maximal" meter bars yet. That means the measure bars can go a bit beyond the container :P

Requirements:

You do need the Compact framework 2.0, it will (unfortunatly) not work without it! But seeing as everyone already has the lightsaber application i guess its not that much of an issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Other:

If anyone has some suggestions or comments (bad or good..) just let me know..

Source:

I added the source code if anyone is interested. Its not some good code, and the calibration could be alot more detailed, but perhaps it helps someone :P

Oh, and if anyone reflects the application and starts to rant about how my code sucks, i didnt optimize it or plan ahead, i just started to code some :P

Seismo - v0.12 20/09/2008

Here is a small application which uses the accelerometer and draws a small graph. It uses the g-sensor managed DLL from Koushilk Dutta (and you'll need the .Net Compact Framework 3.5 to run this on your Diamond)

http://gerosaurus.free.fr/seismo_screenshot.gif

Here is the CAB : SeismoCAB (61KB)
http://gerosaurus.free.fr/SeismoCAB.CAB

Edit: 20th sept. version 0.12 of my Seismosaur detector http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif
  • zoom in/out with nav button (circle clockwise / counter clockwise)
  • close button
  • screen should not turn black while Seismo is running

Diamond Cubes

Here is a small OpenGL based program that allows you to use your Diamond as a "Dice Shaker". It is a simple program and it was written to learn how to use OpenGL together with C# on my Diamond.

I have attached also the sources, so maybe somebody can enhance this and make something beautiful out of it ? If you do, please share the sources also, so that I can learn from you too.

There are still some bugs in the collision detection code, but I think it is a good example of what can be done with this lovely PDA/Phone.

I apologize for the bad interface, there is not much else you can do then shake it and exit from the program.
The dices are 3D objects and tumble across your screen. I still think there should some better "randomness" and there is an annoying bug, which I short-fused in a very ugly way http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Anyway have fun and if I find the time, I will certainly try to improve it.

Done:
- Add sound effects/ buzzer triggering - thanks to gerDiamond to fix the "bugs" in the collision detection and surur for the sound and background file. Also thanks to simplifight to clean up some of the code.
- Better graphics - I think I finally understand OpenGL lighting http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif
- Menu choice for the number of dices - You can choose 1 till 5 dices
- Ticking on the screen is the same as shaking the device.
- Exit through the menu.

Still todo
- Different faces for different types of games (for example the dice colors needed for "Cities3D" ?) - Basic setup for this is done, just need to find the time to create the images
- Better "rest position" algorithm. I think I understand the problem, so a fix will be on the way.
- Ability to "park" a dice or put it on the side. Would be needed for a "Yahtzee" like game.
- Nicer graphics for the playboard. Again I have the graphics understood and made some code changes with regard to the rendering of the dices.
- Better "side-collision". Have used it in my "SnowStorm" application.
- 3D tilting. Have a look at my "Paper Plane" app, which shows a 3D F16, which you can look at from all sides.

Lower priority todo
- Zoom in or out ??
- Change size of play-field ???

HTC Touch Diamond VR Hologram v2.02

VR Hologram very similar to the wii Head Tracking VR demo made famous on youtube.

Uses G-Sensor to track tilt and update the VR Hologram view accordingly. 3D Hologram created using Managed Direct 3D Mobile (MD3DM). Found it easier to learn than the Managered wrapper for Opengl ES.

This is my first 3D app / game and also my first windows mobile app so be gentle but your comments, recommendations and criticisms are more than welcome. Been checking out this forum for over a year now but never really contributed.

http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/935...ettingsax9.jpghttp://img99.imageshack.us/img99/862...ologramro5.jpg

v2.02

Control Panel Added
  • Reverse tilt direction
  • Control affect of Moving Average Smoothing
  • Control tilt distance
  • Use set sprite locations or random sprite locations
  • Choose number of random sprites (5 - 20)
  • Choose from pre-set sprite texture (thanks to the submissions on this thread)
  • Choose custom texture image from file system
N.B. Limited allowed image size to 150kb
certain images (haven't been able to determine why) cause the application to crash. No exception is raised by HTC's implementation of MD3DM so cannot investigate. Just restart app and texture falls back to a preloaded texture.
  • Displays Average Frames Per Second over recent frames
  • Settings saved to file and are applied once app restarted

SensorMaze

http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/img2...obile_game.jpg

It generates mazes and allows you to steer a little blue dot using the movement sensors in the HTC Diamond. It is based on the original SensorTest program and since it has been a while since I programmed for any PDA, it is a bit simple.

Usage:

Try to send the blue dot to the red dot by tilting your Diamond in the required directions.

Commands:

- New Maze: create a new maze in the same level
- Next Level: increase the complexity.

As mentioned, it is my first attempt, so there is still some work that needs to be done.

GL Maps - View your world in 3D from Koush at xda
http://hosted.koushikdutta.com/GLMaps.png

Well, Klaxon is pretty much complete except for a few bug fixes.

So, I'd been toying around with a new idea, a 3D Map viewer that is accelerometer enabled. That means you can turn your device and see other parts of the map. You need to try it to understand, it's very cool.
I got that done and started adding a couple things just to test it out. The Red "bubble" in the screenshot is where I live, and the buses are the real time locations of buses in Seattle. http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif
I'll eventually be adding driving directions and search to this too.

Head over to my website for the CAB download.
I'll make a video shortly of this application, but you gotta try it out yourself for fun. http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif

Upcoming VERY SOON
  • More Map types (traffic, satellite, terrain)
  • Directions Plugin
  • Search Plugin
Early Beta 10/12/2008
  • Fixed random crash bug.
  • Created GL Maps Plugin SDK
  • Created open source "standard" plugins

Create your own Teeter levels!

http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...r1-249x300.jpgTeeter is the incredible addictive Accelerometer-based maze game that ships on the HTC Touch Diamond and Pro. Unfortunately it is so addictive that many owners have already beat the 30 levels and are left wanting more.
Fortunately the layout for each level are stored in simple text files, but creating your own from first principles can be quite difficult. Fortunately Alp Trex from XDA-Developers.com has made it easy, by creating a level editor for the game.
The software, which runs on the desktop, does not allow you to create levels beyond 30 (a limitation of the Teeter game), but does allow you to modify the existing levels. The levels are stored in simple text files named 1.txt, 2.txt etc, and need to be copied from the \Windows directory on your smartphone. Because the new levels will overwrite the old it is a good idea to back up the existing files in a safe location, then copy them into the Teeter Level Editor directory, from where they can then be modified by the app.
To make the modified levels available on your smartphone they need to be copied back to the \windows directory. The files are however write-protected, therefore you will need an app like Total Commander to actually copy the files .
http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...l1-300x229.jpgAfter that, start Teeter and enjoy your new levels. Here is a WMPoweruser level (right click and save as) just for our readers to download. Again, don’t forget to first back up your old levels, and remember that you can only overwrite the old levels with an app like Total Commander.
If anyone makes any levels they consider great, leave a link in the comments and we will make it available to all our other readers.
Download Teeter Level Editor from this XDA-Developers post here.

hTorch v2.2 | using camera LED as flashlight

hTorch is just a FrontEnd programmed as an extension for TorchButton. NetRipper deserves most of the credit because my application uses his TorchButton v1.2 application underneath.

hTorch is built for the HTC Raphael (aka HTC Touch Pro) and has only been tested on this device. PLEASE NOTE: Use this application at your own risk! I’ve done as much testing as possible, and will try to fix every bug which will be reported but it's my first Windows Mobile application and I can not guarantee that it is free of bugs. (Well, even if it would be my 500th application I would still not be able to guarantee that - but anyway - you know what I mean http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif )

Usage:
The program installs itself into "%ProgramFiles%\hTorch" and also creates a shortcut into %StartMenu%\Programs\Accessories. The further usage is as simple as possible. Start hTorch using the shortcut. On program start the LED will automatically be turned on and you will see the programs main screen. On the main screen you can enable and disable the flashlight as needed using the bulb button or exit the application using the exit button. Both buttons are also available as soft key. On Program exit the torch will automatically be turned off.
PLEASE NOTE: The flashlight will stay on for a max of 86400 seconds to prevent burning the LED. This should not be very likely as this posting explains but I think one day should be sufficient. Please also note that the LED can not be left turned on while the device is in standby. So if you want to use the torch for an extended period please make sure to configure your power settings accordingly or to tab the screen from time to time to keep the device awake. I intentionally left as much free space on the main screen as possible to make tabbing into a "free space" easy and to keep the screen as dark as possible.
pRequirements:
  • This program requires .NET Compact Framework 3.5 to run. If you are not sure if you have the Framework installed or which version you have installed please follow this instructions
  • If you have TorchButton installed on your device, you should uninstall it before installing hTorch

Version History:
v2.2:
  • Updated TorchButton to v1.2 which enlarged the maximum timeout from 300 seconds to 86400 seconds (a day) - Thank you NetRipper!
v2.1:
  • Completely replaced all graphics to give the program a much more professional look and feel. (Artwork was done by obsidian73 - Thank You!)
  • Replaced the exe-file icon with a more diamond-like one
v2.0 (unreleased private beta):
  • Completely rewritten source so that hTorch can now detect the LED state
  • Tightened the program as much as possible (exe-file lost about a bit more than 25% of its size)
  • Automatically turn off the LED on program exit
  • Changed auto-off timer to 5 minutes (hard coded)
  • Added SoftKey functions
  • Added About Dialog
v1.1:
  • Fixed Bug when installing to Storage Card
  • Start LED on program start
v1.0b:
  • Initial version
On the picture you can see the programs main screen:

See if updating your framework to the 3.5 .net framework will help..

Google it and you should find a direct link from micrsoft.

Just follow the instructions and it'll install on your comp and the next time you sync your phone, it should put it on your phone as well.

That might solve your problem.

G-alarm: Sophisticated alarm clock for Windows Mobile

About the G-alarm

I developed G-Alarm because I'm pretty lazy in the morning. I sometimes snooze the alarm for 30 minutes which is not really good as you can imagine. So I decided to develop an alarm clock which gives me some activity in the morning: If you want to, you can set G-Alarm to force you to guide a ball through mazes before you can snooze or stop the alarm.
Of course, you can also disable this feature and use it as a "normal" alarm clock.
A list with some features:
  • Supported devices: all devices with Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Mobile 6.1
  • Skinnable user interface (Lots of skins are available here)
  • Customizable today plugin which shows you all your alarms and lets you activate or deactivate them with one click
  • Define unlimited alarms with many options
  • Choose between different alarm types
    • Weekdays: select on which days of the week an alarm should go off
    • One-time alarm
    • Alarm patterns: you can define more customized alarms (e.g. play the alarm every 4th week on friday at 7:00 PM)
    • Quick alarms: Simply wake me up in x hours
  • Define playlists with unlimited mp3/wma/wav files for each alarm
  • Force a specific volume if the device is on vibration mode or muted
  • Repeat and playing options:
    • Play alarm for a specific time
    • Repeat an alarm for x times
    • Auto-snooze the alarm after a specifc time
  • Supports all resolutions (VGA, QVGA, WVGA, WQVGA, etc.)</EM>
  • Power saving methods:
    • You can set to turn off the display after a specific time so you can listen to your music while the device doesn't eat too much battery
    • The display is turned off if the alarm snoozes
  • Tilt sensor support (only on supported devices)
    • Guide the ball through the maze by tilting your device
    • Snooze the alarm by turning the phone upside down
  • Light sensor support (only on supported devices)
    • Snooze the alarm by turning the light on
  • You can decide wether you want to complete mazes before you can snooze or stop the alarm or not.
  • See your next alarm in S2U2, TouchFlo3D, Manila2D and others

NavTetris v0.2 - A Christmas Gift for all XDA Touch Pro Owners

Hi all,

I'm new to this and own a Touch Pro recently.

I started to write some games on it and NavTetris is my first window mobile game project. I would like to share it with all of you as a christmas gift.

NavTetris is a Tetris game for touch pro (It may work on Diamond as well but I don't have a Diamond to try it on). Tetrominoes can be moved and rotated based on the readings from accelerometer and scrollwheel sensors. It should work on both Portrait and Landscape modes.

[How to play]
Tetrominoes can be moved by tilting your device to the left or right, or by using the left or right key.
Tetrominoes can be rotated by using the scrollwheel (both directions), or by using the up/enter key (only clockwise direction).
Tetrominoes can be dropped to the bottom by using the "down" key.

[How to install]

*** Please uninstall previous version first before installing any new version ***

Download the attached cab and install.

[Version History]
v0.2 - Fixed bug in resume mode (Discovered by rareness4)
v0.1 - First beta release

I don't know whether I will have enough time to maintain it, but comments are always welcome. I hope you'll like this game
