Diamond Store Availability?

Does anyone know when the Sprint stores are supposed to
have the Diamond available for purchase? Customer
Service and eCare were giving me different answers. Then,
I called a Sprint Store and he gave me an unsure "in the next
one to two weeks"!

Anyone?

The guy at a local store today told me 9/28.

I have asked 4 stores in the Twin Cities. Each said the 28th.

I heard from my corporate Sprint rep that the stores should all have them on hand, albeit in limited numbers, on Sunday 9/28.

For the record, he has always been right on dates in the past...

Yeah, it was 10/12, but the same document that said 10/12 now says 9/28

Obviously, all of us here are insane and spend way too much time discussing our phones, upgrading our phones, and playing with our phones...but can any of you foresee problems getting our hands on one of these, or are they going to be hard to come by?

They will probably be pretty limited. The 28th is a Sunday, so they will either have them already or won't have them until Monday/Tuesday, as we don't get shipments on the weekends, except in very rare cases.

I'm guessing it would be market specific.

I haven't heard any ads for it, seen any on TV or heard anybody say that it was the next Sprint phone to go against the iphone (as the instinct was sorta touted as). Because of that, I don't see a flurry of people lining up Sunday morning for a Sprint Touch Diamond. IMHO of course.

I am undecided if I even want the Diamond, or just wait for the Pro...but a month later...not sure I can wait, or that my Mogul will hold me over

The price difference is less than 50 bucks, is it worth it? Not sure if the lack of memory expandability will be an issue for me, but I have had bad luck with HTC's keyboards.

Pretty much, the only people who are getting the phone this early are people who have been waiting for a long time, and those peoples friends.
