Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
Wondering if I am the only person that this did NOT work for. It always worked on my Titan, so not sure what I could be doing wrong.

Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
try entering your numbers in the website link and using the PseudoESN, see if that works

Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
You can view your MEID & pseudo ESN Dec + Hex from your phone by typing ##786# (BECAREFUL NOT TO RESET YOUR PHONE!)

To make sure I'm being clear, when I hit ##786# it throws out an error message for every single field. |
Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
Also, I am now noticing that when I go to Start-Settings-System-Device Information the MEID field is completely blank. I am completely baffled now, as I have not even so much as flashed a ROM to the device since activating it, and the MEID showed just last night when I looked there.

Use CDMA Workshop and connect to the phone in diag mode. Go to the "Security" Tab and hit "Read" SPC. Select Universal Ram Method and Custom. Address is: 018E:0190 Hit READ to find your SPC. For Telus Diamonds I was told GetSPC works if you convert MEID to p-ESN but I haven't tried it myself. |

Those errors are not uncommon, I have seen it before, just loook again, or soft reset and look again. It means it is having a hard time reading the information in the alloted time and times out, giving you an error. If it persists, I suggest a Hard Reset, if it continues, talk to tech or store for a possible exchange. -CC |

On my Sprint Diamond I used the pESN and the code getspc gave didn't work and it's the same as the one Sprint gave me for manual activation online. -CC |

the telus device actually has a ESN and MEID. ESN is not shown unless you goin to EPST or into Qpst |
Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond

once yo use it once you cannot use it again it shuts it off in the Service programming. if you use QPST and check service programming (if you can get in with spc) you can see the "one time use" setting in there. |

Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
just call and ask sprint for your msl. i have used mine more than once that they gave me. just mention that you had to activate your phone a second/third time after hard reseting and you want to just write down the info and put it back in if it gets wiped again.

As for the MEID I saw that was posted a while ago... at one point the telus roms (and old kitchen) actually set the MEID display to all zeros. If this it what you say, I wouldn't be worried. I believe the newest version of the kitchen, which most chefs are using show most setting including HEX ESN, network username, Hex MEID, MDN and MSID. I'm pretty sure I put them in the kitchen... if not (can't look at the moment) they should be in the next release. |

Thanks a lot. I was finally able to do this, I even changed it to all 0´s so I wouldn´t need to remember them. |
Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
. Find your ESN in hex. If you have it in decimal, use this to convert it. You want the Pseudo ESN Hex number.
2. Download PPST_KeyGen.dll and GetSPC.exe, and then transfer them to your phone. 3. Run GetSPC.exe on your phone. 4. Enter your hex ESN in the Input field. 5. Press Go. 6. Write down your SPC from the Output field. NOT WORKED WITH ME DIAMOND SPRINT guys i couldnt get my correct SPL/MSL code to edite the EPST . here is the details who can help me and how i can do it by my self.. Yeah I had to try 3 ways before finally getting to this method.
Hope I saved some other people some time.:headbang: |
Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
Cut and paste: (This worked, other methods did not for me...)
FYI, for all the Sprint people who don't what their MSL is: I found this procedure on the xda forum and it works!! I found a method that actually worked perfectly... Use this method. I don't know who found it, but credit goes to them. Change the following registry entries in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\ATDbgLog Enable: 1 LogMode: 1 * Wait a about 10 minutes (more time will not hurt), and soft-reset. * Check to see that the file \Atlog\ATDbg0.txt has been created. * Return the values back to what they were (most likely 0) waiting the same amount of time as above. * Look in the ATDbg0.txt file and you should see a log of commands sent to the CDMA radio and there should be something like this somewhere in the file: ~~~~~~~~~~~SNIP~~~~~~~~~~~~ 00:00:00 Tx:AT+HTC_RMSL=0\r 00:00:00 Rx:+HTC_RMSL: (###THIS WILL BE THE MSL###)\r\n0\r 00:00:00 Tx:AT+HTC_ROTKSL=0\r 00:00:00 Rx:+HTC_ROTKSL: 123456\r\n0\r ~~~~~~~~~~~SNIP~~~~~~~~~~~~ The numbers next to the Rx: +HTC_RMSL line should be your MSL |
Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
after registry change and soft-reset the .txt file is not being created.

Re: SPC/MSL code of sprint diamond
Hi,
I have tried with CDMA Workshop and with the pESN / GetSPC methods but nothing. Is there any other method? With the CDMA Workshop I just get "No security codes found", and the GetSPC method just doesn't work. Since I'm outside US, I don't think I will be able to call Sprint. Could someone help me out with a more detailed method for CDMA Workshop? |
