Remote Desktop on Diamond

I couldn't find any posts on this and thought I should start one.

Remote Desktop on the Diamond's VGA screen is simply amazing!

I can take full control of my laptop running Windows Vista and transfer files between my phone and computer.

It normally comes with all WM6 devices but for some reason Sprint always takes it off their ROMs.

So here is the link for it...

WM6 Remote Desktop.zip

EDIT: Hey guys if you do not know how, or having problems connecting remotely to your computer, please read my post on page 6 (Post #56) of this thread. Hopefully it will help you out!

Re: Remote Desktop on Diamond

Yeah, I am a pack rat and had a copy of this because I am an IT Manager and use it all the time. But I have to agree, the desktop is so much nicer to control with the VGA display on the Diamond.

Thanks for sharing this with others.

I'll have to give it a try, it comes installed on the Telus Diamond out of the box.

Re: Remote Desktop on Diamond

Syanni, it's not all that difficult. The first thing you need to do is enable remote desktop access on your pc, you can do this in the System menu. Secondly you need to obtain your computers ip, if your behind a router, you need to get the actual ip address and go into your port forwarding to setup remote access. If you in your router go to your status menu, and it will give you the computers actual ip address not the 192.168.whatever. Where it says computer, this is where you put in the actual ip address and login name is the name you use on your desktop along with the password. All you have to do is input those and hit connect and waaaalaaaa your good.
