TCPMP does not work? Skyfire?
 

i did attempt to search but found nothing. i tried to install skyfire and it said this program is not intended for my device.

and TCPMP will not run, just crashes. what program can i use to view flash files? i tried the old youtubeplay but half the files do not work...

after checking the skyfire forums it says that VGA devices are not supported. it sounds like it was working before in landscape mode, probably removed from the code after too many people complained.

What Skyfire doesnt work with the Diamond... this needs to be fixed by the time the Touch Pro comes out.
For TCPMP did you try version 0.72RC1 that one was compatible with Windows 6.1

Also for Skyfire did you update your profile so they know your using a new device bc when i got my replacement Mogul I had to update it even tho they both were Moguls.

indeed. i tried both .71 and .72RC1 both give "unexpected program failure" error messages. i am using the CDMA diamond on sprint. and the most recent beta version of skyfire.

I went to the Skyfire forums and found out that VGA devices are not supported yet by Skyfire. It will install but not work correctly. But someone on the forum did say that it worked in Landscape mode, but i dont know how true that is... Try it and let us kno.

neither worked for me either. im fine with not having skyfire. opera 9.5 is slick, but i NEED tcpmp!

yea me too. does anyone know how to replace what is currently on the device as opera 9.5 and replace it with the one on PPCgeeks with flash 3.1?

For skyfire when you switch your device you need to go to http://www.skyfire.com/support/login/index and login in, go to my profile, and click Switch my Skyfire account to a different phone number or mobile device and they'll send a text to your new phone. Hope that helps

unfortunatly they removed the landscape change on the diamond. it works off the accelerometer. but my skyfire wont even install. says its not compatible with the device/

me either i made an hour long drive home in 30 minutes just to go home and pick it up during my lunch break. its so awesome lol. just needs a little ppc tweaking. cant wait for a sprint custom rom

here is the version i got a while back from xda developers. it works great with my diamond. although it doesnt work with the flash player bundle because of opera.

i was able to get tcpmp to install but it wont play any of my music or videos. oh well

huh? i never had to do that b4. i just install the program, install the .aac/mp4 plugin, then make sure all the codecs are checked off inside the program.
do i need to do that?

I have always installed TCPMP, copied the 2 codec files/decoders to the windows directory, and then proceeded to configure/use it. This process worked flawlessly again on the Diamond.

had the same problem had to open videos from tcpmp instead of file explorer. dont know if thaat helps

Skyfire v 0.61.0.4721 works on my Diamond.

TCPMP I got from somewhere (recompiled) also works on my Diamond.

got both already, including the recompiled version. As stated above, tcpmp will work if i choose the media with file explorer, but not from within the app

Strange, because I have Skyfire working on my Sprint Diamond just fine. I was on here last night using Skyfire to grab a .cab that I wanted for customizing my Home tab. The only weird thing about it was when I got a call and was using the browser and the right half of the application disappeared, though I was able to close it and reopen it successfully. And I did not lose/miss the call, either.

tcpmp works with flash bundle on diamond, just not through opera. you have to go through the regular browser. type in site you want to go to. if it is compatible with flash bundle the video will play in tcpmp. do not use opera if you are trying to vie google videos or something of that nature

Dont press enter from the web address box. Close then box and then hit go and you won't have that problem.
