Changing font size for menus, etc

Is there a way to change the huge font sizes in the menus for this phone? It's like they built it for a blind person. I like to have the resolution set high so that I have more screen space, not so that a pop up menu takes up the whole screen.

I know I did it with a custom ROM on my Touch, but there really isn't one out for the Sprint Touch Diamond yet.

I'm sure I can just wait until it gets posted here, but I just was so annoyed with it.

Thanks in advance

This changes the font size in the menus:

Under HKLM\system\gwe\menu\popfnt\Ht
change 1000 to 800 or even 700.

Cool, thanks! Now that changes the menus. Is there a way to reduce the font size in your inbox and also when you are typing text/email? I was looking around but I couldn't find that anywhere.

Try Settings->System->Screen->Text Size

It was defaulted to a medium-large font for me, and I simply moved the slider.

Why would they put that in the screen tab? Wow, thanks a million man. I knew it was in the phone, just didn't know where.

Would that fix the font size of the menus at the bottom of these apps?

Thanks!
