I've used at least 6 different cables and 5 chargers with my Diamond, without issue.

Try deleting and re-installing the HTC drivers for the phone.

Re: Major problem with Internal Storage on HTC Diamond

After plugging in my phone numerous times, I was finally able to right click on the e: drive and do a quick format. This SOLVED the problem and I now have access the 3.85 GBs again. Phew, persistence pays off again. Thanks for the good info guys.

Considering the state of my Mogul's screen (for which I admittedly never used a protector for), I'm quite curious about this too.

Re: Major problem with Internal Storage on HTC Diamond

If NON HTC USB Cable is used with the USB Port which dont Support High Power mode this can Happen to many Storage things.

I have same issue with my CF Card with All Front Port and Extended USB Hub Ports
But all Onboard USB Port Recognise the Storage well.

Try to make USB Current High, Try to attache to onboard USB Port, Try to uses Original Cable or USB 2.0 Shielded Cable, remove all Extension Cable USB Hub inbetween

Any suggestions?
I just got my Sprint Diamond today.

Prior to connecting it to the computer, I noticed that the 4BG Internal Storage was no longer visible in the settings, system, memory,
storage card tab. It says "not installed." I then tried to reset the Internal Storage by going to Settings, System, Clear Storage and selecting "format internal storage only". When I do so, it says "Error, the Mass Storage cannot be accessed." This all occurred prior to connecting the diamond to my pc, so it can't be a cable issue. I also am unable to perform a hard reset, for whatever thats worth. Please help me get the 4Gigs back! Thank you...

See the other threads about doing a hard reset. Can't help you with the other problems, sorry.

Re: Major problem with Internal Storage on HTC Diamond

Hmm, this problem sounds alot like the problem you get when you unplug an ipod when synching without unmounting.

If this is correct then the trick is getting the wm device to re-mount the ram module.

I am also having this problem so I will experiment with it today
