Orb

Has anyone tried using Orb on their Diamonds? I tried it on my iPod Touch and it seemed to work well, the only problem it had with the iPod was it seemed like it wasn't able to play the movies, has anyone had any success with this on their PPC or Diamond more specifically. I'm pretty sure I can survive without a micro SD as long as Orb works,
Also I was thinking about just using a VNC application to access my PC to download media threw p2p or torrent files which would be loaded onto Orb within a few seconds and ready to be played!
Any input is appreciated,
Thanks,

Hey man,

I use orb all the time, if you want perfect playback follow these instructions

1) Unzip WM5 WMV9 Codecs to your Windows\ Dir of your diamond
2) Install this "fixed" version of tcpmp player (crash fix)
3) Log into Orb through your browser, and start streaming :)

Works perfectly for me

Make sure you copy the codecs first before installing tcpmp!

enjoy!

btw, i have a diamond, so i can personally confirm that this works :)

Re: Orb

sorry for all the questions, this should be my last one for this thread, does the video format on your PC have to be like 680x480? thanks,

Re: Orb

you just unzip the codecs somewhere like on your desktop. then you sync your phone, double click on activesync, click explore, double click My Windows-Mobile Device, then double click Windows. past them in that folder. and you dont have to change the resolution from any of your videos. they will work at whatever resolution they are at.
