Maybe that's Sprint's way of keeping the advocate phones from being sold to the general public? I'm sure it is reassuring to see the Sprint logo on a phone in someone's hand, though...

True, true...LOL. Marketing is such a funny thing, especially with companies like Sprint that seem to market phones that may not be up to par with their competitors. Nontheless, I definitely think that color is ugly.

You have a good point about the advocate phones and it's definitely reassuring to see a Sprint logo on the phone. Well, for those that were planning on getting the Diamond, I guess you can all hope that alternate backing colors will be available.

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread

Looking at the back in that pic makes it look real narrow compared to the front view.

So does anyone know if your only allowed one exchange per purchase or is it lifetime?
Like say I bought the 6700 for my son and he wanted the 6800 that came out 2 weeks afterward, so we exchanged it...now he bought the instinct full price today because his pearl broke and it would take 5 days for the replacement. (theres ah gosh darn hurricane ah coming can't wait 5 days) I think when he sees the diamond he may want this one. Will he be able to exchange it?

Did anyone else notice how fast the picture switched between portrait & landscape when he clicked on it at the end of that video?

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread

So heres why i think you can change the back but not the bottom where the plug connects from the look of this pic you can tell that you have to slide the back off to get to the battery so im sure we can buy a replacement cover that is black

If he just bought the Instinct at full price today, he should be able to exchange it, but it is only a 1 time exchange that they allow (and not sure if there's a price difference between the two, so if the Diamond is more expensive at full price, he'll have to cover that as well). Nontheless, he can take the Instinct back and say that he wants to "return it," which from my understanding can be done over and over as long as you have a phone that the number can be connected to temporarily. From that point, he'd be able to go back and buy the Diamond. If he doesn't want to deal with the hassle of all that, 1 time exchange should be possible.
