Whats alleged? the fact that the phone is going to suck. its not alleged man. When they said the sprint one wasn't going to have the sd slot, people like you were also saying its alleged. Now the phone is on the eve of coming out and people have seen it and there is no memory slot. So of course nothing is definite but you just trying to keep the hope alive when there really is none, i'm not mad at you.

The naive, idealistic part of me wants to believe that the Sprint delay might be due to them re-enabling the SD slot that they disabled/removed...

Sprint had nothing to do with that. The GSM version of the Diamond doesn't have the SD slot either.

So HTC tells Sprint they can't have the SD card, and tells Verizon they can have it, huh?

Never knew the ODM's had that kind of power over the carriers.

the device was designed by htc, sans memory card. its not like the gsm version had it and sprint told them to strip it. vzw opted to go for a gimped version, b/c having no internal memory is not only cheaper it also opens the door for accessory sales.

I still highly doubt that the Verizon specs are correct... I don't think even VERIZON thinks that their customers are stupid enough to believe that their version isn't gimped... especially once they see someone on Sprint go flying with theirs while the Verizon model glitches out and slows to a crawl the second you mess with TouchFLO 3D...
