But, if its 500+ I will not be doing it. I was thinking more on the lines of 449.99.

Come one 729??? WTF. What does it really cost to make and manufacture one? No where near that damned much. I hate when companies try crap like that.

So much for the iPhone killer. I mean seriously? Even for stock unlocked it is just way to much if they are truly trying to battle the iPhone.

Cmon guys let's be real. Has Sprint ever released a phone for more than $600 before discounts? I doubt it'd cost more than that, regardless of what's inside.

The new iPhone cost definitely helps things too :) I'd guess $199 after rebates for the Diamond and ~$50 more for the Pro, or maybe $249 for the Diamond (same opening price for the Touch and new Treo) and ~$50 more for the Pro.

i wouldnt do 600 or 500 and maybe not even 400. Thats my reality of it.

Up in Canada, the Touch Diamond is selling for $449 from Telus, with no contract. Seems more reasonable that $729... :)

Hmmm...So, with the current exchange rate, that's $429 US without a contract. Instant rebate would probably be $50-100. Mail in probably $100-150. That seems like a realistic figure.

I'm more curious as to how much more the Touch Pro will be.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sprint price it the same as the current models. 499 - 549 for the Diamond, and 549 - 599 for the Pro.
