Getting code error 67 and lost data access after activating back my old diamond.

I got this used Touch diamond for my wife on ebay and wanted to test if everything worked. Last night, I tried to do an ESN swap on my wife's account (with an older Touch diamond), and had to call in for the MSL in order to wipe out that used phone's info (such as MDN etc). Then the phone activated by itself fine, and can do voice calling, data calling no problem.

After making sure the new phone was OK, I activated back my wife's old diamond. Tried the voice calling no problem, but the data kept getting error 67. Since the phone had been activated with my wife's account info for all these time, all the info was correct (MDN, MSID etc). What might cause the data problem then?

BTW, the ROM I had on that old diamond did not have a functional "update profile". If that's the problem, please tell me how to do it manually then? Thanks.
