general Gmaps location setting
since ive had the diamond, its always bothered me that the my location on google maps doesnt work...
but i just found out on my last road trip that if my phone is on 1x, then it works everytime in seconds.... wish i would have known this earlier.... can any explain why it only works in 1x and not EV or rA? thanx Danny (not sure if this is general knowledge that i just didnt know about....)

I've never had a problem with Google Maps on any of the many custom ROMs I've installed on the Diamond. It always picks up GPS satellites and my location within seconds after starting, whether in EV or 1x. Maybe running the Quick GPS app could help in your situation?

im referring strictly to cell tower triangulation, without the gps being turned on...
