Diamond Gone from Sprint's Site

Like the title says, The Diamond is no longer being offered on Sprint's site. Not sure if this is any indication of better things to come or not. I heard Sprint is going to be announcing a new phone on 1/6. Hopefully we'll get a diamond replacement soon. I take HD2, Diamond 2 or Imagio or whitestone variant. I'm giving it to the end of January and if nothing is in the pipeline I'm going to get a TP2!

Come on Sprint!

Interesting. Well with Nexus One being introduced today by Google for T-mobile and later this year for Verizon, you would think Sprint would have something to pitch very soon since they are not getting into this action. If the HD2 does appear, that would be big and would help them combat the potential of losing more smartphone customers. If not, then I think the writing is on the wall frankly and would not be surprised if they are waiting patiently for an offer to be acquired or merge with another carrier. I can't see how they expect Sprint customers that are out of contract with smartphones to stick with them if the Nexus One, Droid, HTC Pure/Tilt2, and TP2 (150.00 cheaper at Verizon) are available. Also if you had your choice to buy a Hero or Moment, would you do this over a Nexus one at the same price point?

I hope so. I'm out of contract and just bitting at the bit for something...
I wish it would be the HD2... And currently I'm leaning to just wait until that comes in with T-Mobile and switch...
Either way... I'll be interisted to see what happens tomorrow...

Everyone keeps saying we are getting the diamond2 or whitestone variant. Somebody in the Daimond2 forum stated they were 100% positive sprint was getting it in November 09'. I hope you are right buy I'll believe it when I see it.

Actually the only difference between the Diamond and Diamond2 is the screean (2.8 vs 3.2) and the OS (6.1 vs 6.5). I don't really count the OS because most people have custom roms on their Diamonds with 6.5 anyway. I'm sure there are other small differences but not many. Camera (3.2mp vs. 5mp).

It would be a nice upgrade I guess, but I really want the HD2! or at very least something similiar to the Imagio. I love that big screen.

If Sprint announces the Diamon2 I'll probably upgrade to the TP2. If they announce the HD2 or Imagio, I'm all over it. Can't wait to find out.

I just can't figure out why all the silence from sprint re: their upcoming winmo devices... I mean NOTHING has been leaked or confirmed as coming down the line... WTF?
