AT&T HTC Pure - Diamond 2 ????
While many of you spent last night watching grown men pummel one another into submission, we here at BGR put in some over time so we could get to the bottom of the pricing of some upcoming AT&T smartphones. And just as you would expect, we’ve come through. First off we have two HTC offerings, the Tilt2 (Touch Pro2) and Pure (Touch Diamond2). On contract and after applying $50 MIRs, we’ve heard the Tilt2 will be $299.99 while the Pure will go for $199.99. Off contract, you’re looking at $499.99 and $349.99 respectively. Second, we have the Garmin-ASUS nüvifone G60 which will finally ditch its North American vaporware status when it hits retail shelves with the 2-year price of $299.99 after a $100 MIR. Off contract, the G60 will command $549.99, a princely sum, indeed. Unfortunately we’ve not been able to confirm the AT&T Pure or nüvifone G60 release dates, but we do have a pretty accurate idea on the Tilt 2. Still, we’d expect to see all three of these devices before the end of October based upon the fact that this is when these prices are effective until.
UPDATE: We’ve just been sent a photo of the pricing for the AT&T Pure which shows it actually going for $149.99 with a two-year agreement. Source:http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/...d-garmin-asus/ That is good news, that mean Sprint, Verizon and Tmobile should be getting Diamond 2 very soon but the price doesn't sound very right. Touch Pro 2 is $300AR but Diamond 2 is $150??? That is very good news if it true for at&t customers |

Re: AT&T HTC Pure - Diamond 2 ????
The pure is the real port of the Diamond2 released by HTC (Codenamed Topaz)
The Imagio is technically a Different phone all together as it wasnt a phone that was technically announced by HTC though was seen early in some of the leaked roadmaps for HTC (Codenamed Whitestone) This will explain the difference and why the pure is more similar to the Unbranded Diamond2 as opposed to the nearly completely different screen and kickstand accessory of the Imagio. |

Re: AT&T HTC Pure - Diamond 2 ????
I just saw this phone on ATT website.
So it is the Diamond 2? When is it coming to Sprint? Does it has the same screen size as the Touch Pro 2 minus the slider keypad? |

No plans on it coming to Sprint, though Sprint should be getting a version of 'Whitestone' aka Imagio sometime. Imagio has the same screen (3.6") as Touch Pro 2; Diamond 2 aka Pure has a 3.2" screen (which is actually sharper looking due to the tighter pixel count). Pure is a fantastic phone--the camera is the best I've used, screen is sharp and it runs WM6.5 very well. Screen is bit small though making touch-typing challenging. In that regard, the Imagio/Touch Pro 2 are better. |

Re: AT&T HTC Pure - Diamond 2 ????
Both of them are great phones. HTC rules. I hope Sprint gets both. If they are they're taking too long.
