Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

5mp camera? yes definitely Touch Diamond2!

besides since i have gotten used to fingerkeyboard2 and the fact that the TD2 has a SD slot. the only thing that the original TP has over TD2 is the flash. And neither the TD2 or the TP2 have a flash so winner is better camera.

Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

I'm thinking that Sprint will bypass the TD2 and go directly to the Firestone; which is fine with me as long as it is released by November.

Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

Having read that Sprint has no plans to carry the Diamond 2, I sent Sprint an email asking when it would be available. Got the response I expected:

"Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand that you are interested in buying the Diamond 2 handset.

There is no update regarding the launch of Diamond 2 as of now. Once there is any update on this, it will reflect on our website."

I then asked them to clarify my ETF exposure. Their response was '$xx on xx/xx/xxxx'. (I've been a $100/month multi-line customer for 10 years now, so might have expected just a bit more given that Sprint is losing 30,000 customers per day)

So will see how badly Verizon, T-Mobile (and AT&T??) want my business in the next few months.

I'm in the same boat. But I WILL not be going to Verizon. Verizon will be removing the WM Marketplace from the WM 6.5 and higher phones!!

If I leave Sprint, I will be going to AT&T. AT&T has real good 3g coverage where I live, but only edge coverage at my mom's. It has good voice coverage where I live, but the best voice coverage at my mom's. I don't need 3g coverage when I go to my mom's.

Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

Why would they release the Touch Diamond 2 when they're already releasing the Hero in October?

FYI, the Hero isn't a WinMo phone. (And this is a WinMo forum)

Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

HTC has a Topaz#C-R2, which would indicate Sprint is getting the phone. But no idea when/if that will happen. See below. ConFlipper was putting together a model # database, and made a discovery on HTC's website.

Re: HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

id rather have the firestone, which is basically a suped up version of the diamond2 that may be able to run winmo7 (im not sure, but I know the d2 cant), but if theyre not going to release the firestone for 234242 years then the d2 is the next best thing.
