Re: Rooting question..

Hey guys,

I'm hoping some fellow telus users can help me out.

I rooted my Telus desire, partitioned my SD card, and wiped data/cache.

Now i've flashed LeeDroid 1.9a, and the latest radio (32.43.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2). I cannot get data working at all anymore!

I've tried putting in the APN settings from this forum, but i still do not see the nice little H icon in the notification bar showing a data connection.

Any suggestions would be great!

I had the same issue.

Make sure you have installed the latest Radio, reboot at least twice and give it a couple hours. Seriously. That is what I did and it finally started working.

Re: Rooting question..

Thanks for the help guys.

I was able to get back to the stock telus rom using a zip file i found over on xda. Once I loaded that up it recovered from backup automatically and I had data back in no time!

Since then I managed to re-root, then installed the latest Leedroid. Once I set up the APN it worked flawlessly! This time I used the same APN settings that were in the stock rom, which are slightly different than what Mr. X posted in these forums (Name and APN type specifically):

Name: TELUS SP
APN: sp.telus.com
Proxy: 74.49.0.18
Port: 80
Username: <Not set>
Password: <Not set>

MMS proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: None
APN type: *
