I see the rooting thread is up. Mr X did not say anything about whether it is CDMA or GSM so I am going to guess that it does not matter. I get my Desire tomorrow or Wednesday (if the shipment comes in) so before I even activate it, I'll try rooting the device and will report back confirmation for CDMA rooting.

Please fill us in on your findings. I will be getting the HTC Desire with Cellular South - CDMA (probably this week or next is when it is expected to be released). I want to unlock phone so I can get 2.2 so i can install apps to sd card.

Hey all...

FYI

I'm on Telus and have rooted my Desire, flashed new radio, and flashed LeeDroid 1.9 A2SD+ ROM.

Already a 1.9a available with great results reported as well...

All working perfectly and then some!

MightyMike and my self have been working on a rom for the past 1-2 weeks, so fare its turning out well. Wish the source would come out for the htc kernel soon!
