has anyone ever noticed how any time any one points out a shortcoming of wp7,8 or whatever, eric seems to have a wpcentral or tmonews article that says "oh, that thing you think is important, well its really not that important, because if it were, it would be in winpho" and any other points of view are "ANTI MICROSOFT PUNDITS". in this case, since windows marketplace is last in apps, there is a wpcentral article saying apps really arent that important. but god damn, those live tiles sure are nifty. |

Pffft, I've got something like 90apps... Use half of them Atleast everyday.... Gmail...app Yahoo...app Sms/Handcent...app Voicemail/youmail...app Messenger/palringo/kik/whatsapp...app Facebook...app Ppcgeeks/taptalk...app Xda...app Opera/Dolphin/Firefox...app Most common tasks a smartphone user does revolves around an app to get there.... You can't say "apps aren't everything" when even your article says "apps are everything) - even if its social media, music, etc.... It's still apps... And hell, I've got 90 or so apps, Sie half of em daily.... The days I'm not using a lot, my kids certainly pick up the slack and play game after game... It's all I hear,, " dad, can I play a game on your phone..." App development sells phones, handsdown! Just ask Google and Apple.. |
Little ones don't touch my phone no more. My 4 y/o has a nook tablet, and the 8 year old has my wife's old evo. Inactivated of course. We've got a family gmail with all the kids games on it. I love that you can sign in with multiple accounts in the playstore now.

Games are not apps? Ok. I'm officially done here. I get the feeling that sense and reason will not prevail in this thread. I'm off to play some apps.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm attacking you but come on man.. there were threads here showing the site was trying to better itself just a few months ago and having members like you who continually stir up (the same)shit, w/anyone and everyone, definitely isn't helping the cause!! |

What most of us are trying to figure out, is what you are doing here on a mostly android forum... Sent from my PG86100 on the PPCGeeks App |

Keyword: mostly. Your still in the WP7 section so I believe that he is also a smartphone enthusiast and also has a reason to be here.

Ok you don't own a WP device so why are you posting here in this section? I rarely post in android and when I do it's not to talk shit, I also still post in the TP2 section. |
Re: My next phone will not be Windows! I am going Android

Eric and Austin,
I would recommend ignoring each other... Just some friendly advice. Everyone else... Lay off the personal attacks... They are against the site rules. |
Re: My next phone will not be Windows! I am going Android
I wouldn't fire off any unsavory PMs to any mods either, I've heard that can get you banned :)

Re: My next phone will not be Windows! I am going Android
As an Android fan with that has owned a Moment, Epic, now Epic Touch, I'm quite impressed with the HTC Arrive I just bought for my wife. It's fast, simple, and does just about everything my GS2 does. The only drawbacks I see so far are the smaller screen and lack of Flash Video. The lacking flash video would keep it from being my primary phone as I use it to watch live sports,UFC events, and stream TV shows and movies from certain websites.

1) there is a flash video app for WP that you could try, it might help on some of the sites you frequent, it's pretty much a browser that tries to extract the .flv files from the sites and then play them in it's video player. 2) Adobe has discontinued flash for mobile so now even the newer android phones (GS3, one series) don't have it unless a custom rom is installed I guess. |
Re: My next phone will not be Windows! I am going Android
why you guys (mods) are letting this go on in the wp section is beyond me. this thread either needs to be moved to phone comparison, as stated by other members, or closed. time could be better spent getting new membership and traffic up rather than deleting posts for no apparent reason.

2. I know it works great on my Galaxy S2, whether they have discontinued it or not, these sites are flash video only, any way to watch them on Windows Phone? |

Eric.... Austin..... Keep the petty arguing out of the forums. It is beyond ridiculous. Stay on topic and be constructive. All this back and forth with you two is old.
