Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

So I did the Mango update yesterday to my Arrive and I have noticed that I am dropping calls way more than usual. My gf has the Arrive as welll still with NoDo and has not experienced the call dropping issue. I am seeing if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? If there is no fix I will be going NoMango to YesNoDo.

Re: Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

for me (lately) all the texts aren't actually being sent. i can't tell if it's the mango, arrive, sprint, or gvoice. reason i know some aren't sending is because i'll send it on my phone & then log in on my gvoice and it never shows i sent it. but this could all be due to the network outage sprint had the other day..

Re: Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

I've not had any of these issues... my phone screen does shut off when it's near my ear, I've not had any dropped calls, and my texting has been fine. I've had occasional hickups with Facebook news feeds, but that's it.

Now mind you, I'm not saying your experiences aren't real... just that if it were Mango, it would be pretty widely reported.

yea +1 I don't have any of those issues either. only one I have is with local scout sometimes not being able to connect but it's expected since its beta.

Re: Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

I was actually going to repost yesterday that I tried putting my phone on speaker to see if it dropped calls still. It didn't. After, just like a few of you said, the screen is not blanking out when held up to my ear. So it must be my cheek/ear that was causing the issue. I have been turning off the display when I am in a call to prevent the nuisance. Since then, no "dropped calls". As for texts, it has sent them and I have had no issues with that more than usual.

I have been doing the same thing turning off the screen, but its getting annoying. i am contemplating restoring back to NODO and then hard resetting.

Re: Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

I am seeing that the screen is only dimming when on a call, and have accidently pressed the endcall button with my face since upgrading. It is a simple fix by pressing the power button when taking/making a call. The other benefits of Mango are worth this small issue.

Re: Mango Update - Now dropping calls (more than usual)

do they let you configure the 1x roaming options in mango? I just got mine yesterday, and after hours of scratching my head on why the data sucks, I found out the phone was set to not roam by default.
