It will take you about an hour after playing around with it to figure out how to use it, i dont think there is a HOW-TO yet for it. (correct me if am wrong).

Very very useful, i was waiting for an app like this for long!!
Now you've got my attention... How do you create the shortcuts to apps installed on SD? After every Hard reset I need to re-install and re-register?

I"m like Sarge, Is there any way to re-open an OEM once made in the OEMizer to edit it?
Is htere some way of getting a group of settings together as a base from which the OEMizer would start with every time, or do I need to start from scratch every time? I'm using ver 1.34 and the "save settings as default" doesn't seem to work.

Reg Deletions

I would like to add to my personal OEM some reg deletions. Does anyone have the syntax to do this? Specifically I would like to delete the remnants of the Arcsoft 3.0 MMS app that seems to be part of the build.

Thanks,
Steve

LZ Expansion Utility

I have a CAB that installs just fine when coiped to my XV6800 and run from there. However when I run Import Cab in the Files and Shortcuts section of OEMizer Version 1.3.5 I get an error:

LZ Expansion Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close.

The details on the error are:

AppName: expand.exe
AppVersion: 5.1.2600.0
ModName: expand.exe
ModVer: 5.1.2600.0
Offset: 00001419

I am running a Win XP SP2 PC and this is the file version reported if I run expand at a command prompt. If I run the expand against this particular CAB from a command prompt it does expand it just fine.

Any ideas?

A hard reset only sets the ROM back to defaults and deletes all information on the device. It does not reset you back to a stock carrier WM5 ROM.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong but when I use the OEMizer and I click on the Exchange server tab and insert my information, it won't let me sync with my personal computer. It has the personal computer in Activesync and it says that it has sync'd but it doesn't sync over my contacts or calendar? Does anyone know why this could be happening?

You should look at the provxml file. That contains all the Exchange settings. Make sure its all ok there first.

My 1st OEM......

......was a flop....I tried to import a CAB that couldn't be OEM-ized, I guess. Steve helped me out with it...thanks Steve.

If I want to assign custom sounds to system events, how do I get the files I want to use to show up in the menu for selection?

To follow up on Sarge's post this had to do with the HHC and trying to make an OEM out of it. I have not had any luck in getting this to go. I was using 1.05b to do this. Anyone had luck OEM'ing this?

Steve

Type them in the combo (dropdown) box.
