Re: Official Personal OEMizer Thread

Hey, just started playing around in BuildOS and when I saw the mail settings in OEMizer I was sold...

Only problem is I have a Vogue. Is this only for Apache (it's in the Apache forum). Will I brick up my unit possibly if I use it for a Vogue?

Thanks.

OEMizer should work for any Kitchen ROM. The settings aren't device-specific.

Ummmm... I meant, I was sold on the idea.... of using OEMizer... after finding out that it could set up my email settings... yeah, not 100% best context.

Thanks! I tried it and it worked great!

Argh... no wait.. it didn't. When I opened up my personal selections, and then OEMizer, everything was set... except for the mail settings.

so for the dcd kitchen, do we just put our OEM folder into the "OEM" folder for dcds kitchen?

that is what i did and i expected the OEM to come up as a choice for the kitchen...but it didnt. is it not a choice and just automatically installs?

Myself and several others were wondering if it would be possible to add duplicate file protection to your already AWESOME OEM creator similar to the way Ervius Package Creator creates deals with duplicate files by adding (000-* , 001-* , etc...) to the beginning of the file names and having the initflashfiles.txt created accordingly.

This would allow for easy creation of Mult-Program OEMS like rstoyguy's MegaPacks and creation of OEMS that include files that have identical file names such as Opera Mobile.

This is merely a suggestion but I think it would take your amazing tool and make it PERFECT.

I know the way I feel is shared by others and would love to see idea become reality.

Dan.

Figured since I'm dominating the board today, might as well throw my 2cents in. Slightly off subject, but if anyone is looking for their OEM ROM click the link in my signature. I tire of the piles of new threads daily of people looking for them.

Re: Official Personal OEMizer Thread

I've got to ask this (and possibly i've missed it before) but this software has a bad habit of accusing users of duplicate files (then crashing) even when the files have been separated, dragged and dropped, then edited for directories.

I keep experiencing this when trying to import SU2U v1.21 by CAB or by hand. For some reason, OEMizer keeps saying the files are duplicates even when i import them by hand and edit the directories.

Help?
