I Haved tried what Fatlard suggested and no luck. I Believe to be a DNS problem though. Reason is that when I am in 1x and I am on certain web page in the internet explorer, if i click a hyper link within that page my phone will show "locating" for a long time then a error will come up saying there is a DNS error?. Still no connection in EVDO too:scratch:

I've tried that before and the settings don't stick. I read in these forums to erase HTC_Guardian.exe in windows/startup but I have a different file named HTC_CM_Guardian.lnk and I don't know what to do since that's not the specified file.

EDIT: okay i did the opendns trick but now its asking for a pass and login, i just cancel it and it brings up the page pretty fast..
how do i get rid of the login screen??

Same problem here in Chicago, and I've got a Sprint tower less than 100 feet from me in the back yard of my office, which also just happens to be right along a busy expressway. My phone (Treo 700wx) keeps switching itself to 1x and then back to EV again.
