Trouble with Windows Media Player

First off, the device info:
Sprint PPC-6700, ROM update installed (AKU 2 or whatever it's called), A2DP patch, picture mail patch, voice command hack (to dial over headset), some junkware removed.

The problem:
Windows Media Player suddenly stopped seeing all the music on my storage card. It still sees the few media files on my device, but sees nothing on the storage card. It had been working fine for like 5 months. But the other day it suddenly didn;t see anything. In fact, if I try to go into the "All Music" on "Storage Card" I get an error that says, "An unexpected error occurred." with an ok button. I hit ok, and the playlist is empty. So I tap menu and update library. It finds like 600 files or so, but when it goes to adding files, it stops at 1 progress bar. I let iot sit for like an hour once and it still didn't go any further than 1 progress bar. However, if I tap cancel it does cancel. So the device is still responding, but not adding files for some reason. I've done many soft resets, and even restored from a backup file. Issue doesn't go away. Anyone else seen this?
