6.1 Upgrade & Battery Life

I'm not too up on flashing my phone and all but I did manage to build a kitchen 6.1 setup with only the HTC today and icons selected. I'm getting horrible battery life. I bought the phone used with a kitchen 6.0 build installed and I was getting roughly 8 hours before the battery warning popped up. Now I'm getting 4 hours. I don't have BT or WiFi enabled. I have the "1X" icon showing. I'm not running any programs other than a standard ActiveSync setup. I did purchase a new battery off eBay...probably a cheapy... back in March. I live in a pretty rural area and I get 1 to 2 bars in the house.

Would someone be so kind as to give me any tips? The only fixes searches have given me were to make some registry changes that someone referred to as "power savings".

I'm just trying to make this phone last until Verizon rolls out all their new phones this quarter.
