I figured out that its only the numbers which occur more then once that it doesn't say the name on just the number. I want to find out how to turn the voice up and add a different voice though. It's really low on 100% volume and the stock voice isn't so pleasing on the ears.

As far as volume, maybe a new voice could fix that as well... |

Wll unfortunetly this does not work with my plantronics bluetooth earpiece. You can initiate the call and say call "who ever" and then it replies back call "who ever" and for some reason the audio gateway cannot hear the second command and voice command will close. If you do it off the phone it works though.

Headset which works on the first but not on the second confirm announcement
Plantronics Discovery™ 665
http://www.plantronics.com/north_ame...USFEYKAEZWQIV0 This works on my imate JasJar running WM6 and Apache running Wm6. I downgraded the 6800 to the alltel wm5 and it does the same thing. I am now back on Wm6 I noticed this now that this is the apache forum so there is most likley the issue. The apache has a different bluetooth stack. Now only to port it to the 6800. Greetings all -
I to have a Plantronics Discovery 665 that worked with my V3M Sprint Razor. I just recently upgraded to the Sprint Mogul (running the latest rom as defined by HTC's site). I was also a previous owner of the PPC-6700, so I kept all of my apps, including the MSVC version 1.6 The only part that doesn't seem to work for me is the "Confirm when calling by name" and "Confirm when dialing by number". When I activate the VC with the push of the headset button, I do get the "beep" prompt, and I do see the microphone icon come up on the display bar; I then state to call "voicemail" I then hear the computer voice prompt through the headset confirming if this is who I want to call, again I see the microphone icon on the display, I state "yes", "correct" and it beeps again, and nothing happens, the microphone icon drops and I am then to assume the audiogate way is closed. I have button 5 on my Mogul mapped to VC, using this method it works just fine. It recognizes my response and dials the voicemail contact I have setup. For the heck of it, I then deleted the Plantronics, and added my old Jabra BT 125. This headset did not work at all. It was discovered and setup, however when I attempted to kick off the VC with the headset button, it did not function, no matter how many taps long or short. If I held it to long, all it did was redial the last number I dialed. I have also installed only the ID Transfer, which does route my custom ringtones through the bluetooth headset, along with text message notification and email notifications. So the question for me remains, is this an issue with Microsoft, Sprint, HTC or Plantronics? I've also heard about a ROM upgrade due to hit on 10/22 that allegedly is supposed to fix Bluetooth problems, along with other issues, but that's just what I've seen on the net... |
