anyone want a quick consulting gig on XV6700 ROM upgrade?

Does anyone who knows this device really well want to help me out one-on-one? I have about $100 I can devote to it if someone can spend a couple of hours with me on this. 10 years ago I'd have loved to delve into all the details myself and mess around, but now with 2 kids and a 12 hr/day job, I really just need things to work... I depend on this phone for a lot of things. I'm thinking it can't be more than 2-3 hours all in all and it would probably be very easy for some of the expert people here.

Specifically, what I'd like is to have someone talk to me (1:1, via email) about what the different ROMs offer (specific differences among the solid, fast, debugged ROMs), help me pick one (or perhaps even cook one for me based on my specific needs), give me specific step-by-step instructions on how to install it (as well as this unlocked extended ROM business), point out which of the old hacks are no longer necessary after the ROM upgrade, and be available for help in a reasonable time-frame if I run into a snag during the process. I can't afford to have the phone be out of commission if I mess up and there are a lot of details and domain-specific knowledge here. But, I've been playing with it (all sorts of hacks from this and other boards) for a while now and I know what I want it to do, enough so that one of you guys who really knows all about the ROMs and such can tell me how to get there. I have a detailed set of notes I made myself during installation and tweaking, so it's easy to see what I have on here now (software, settings, hacks, etc.) as the target we're shooting for. Of course, if the end result seems useful to others, we could post that here, so that people can use it if they like.

Is anyone interested/able to help out a biologist who loves his XV6700 and no longer has the wherewithal to muck around in its innards?
