New life for Android on Apache?

http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/15/a...ly-as-october/

Considering that the 1.6 sdk supports CDMA and HTC is making an android phone with a QVGA resistive screen, could this mean fully functional Android on the Apache? I'm no software programmer, but the only road bumps I see are power management and older EvDo radio.

Any thoughts on this?
