WM6 MMS Composer
Does anyone know how to disable the MMS composer in the WM6 Helmi build (btw - helmi, I will be sending you some money soon - great work!!)
I know it's not taking up room, but I just want to disable it since I never do mms,(no plan for it, so don't want to) only plain texts, and that is fine. Thanks!! |
Anyone? It's not that it's hurting per se, but when I go to send a text it prompts for regular text or mms and since I don't use mms, I just want it to no be there :)

someone has to have some idea... when I hit new-text from the wm5 newmenu it always prompts for a choice.
|
1. Remove the SMS item from the WM5 NewMenu
2. Create a new item with the following settings... Item Label: SMS File: \Windows\tmail.exe Parameters: -to "" -service "SMS" 3. Click confirm and try your new SMS item. |
Awesome - thank you!! I noticed that if you put something in the "" after to it will adress it directly to them. I had 2 entries for "text person..." and it would prompt. Deleted them, then re-added with the info there, except put "Name <###-###-####>" and it worked like a charm. I do appreciate muchly :)

You're welcome. Was something that was bugging me a bit too so I figured it was time to fix it hehe.
You can also add -body "message you want to write goes here" for sending automated messages from one button. Handy I guess if you want to do like -to "Person who usually texts you <555-555-5555>" -service "SMS" -body "Don't bug me right now." |
I guess that's better than -body "piss off, I'm busy" :D
Now if I could make the mms inbox dissapear, that'd be great, but it's not a big issue. This was bugging me due to the extra steps, but now it's fine... |
