Do a good deed for a n00b today

I am sed n00b and I'm having a couple of problems with my Sprint 6700. And here they are.


1. .Cab files. When I put the file on the phone then unrar (the file type is associated with my WinRAR) the file it doesn't list my phone in the list to extract them to. So I figured that I could unrar them to the desktop and dran-and-drop them onto my SD card. Well, as you guessed, that did nothing. What am I doing wrong? My OS on my computer is Vista, if that makes any difference.


And....I've seem to have forgotten my other problem. Anyhoo, any and all help is greatly appreciated.
