How do you change the startup screen? I'm running Helmi_C's WM6 right now. Although I like the HTC screen, I may be inclined to make a custom one, too.

**2ndchance** Use a file explorer program such as Resco File Explorer or Total Commander and grab the file with the name "welcomehead.96.png" (without the ") located in \Windows and that's wat u have to edit to change the startup screen.
I personaly use Total Commander and all i did was copy the welcomehead.96.png to my SDcard, then click+hold on the file (that was in the SDcard, not in the \Windows directory) and went to properties and unclicked "read only" "hidden" "system" and then brought it on to my computer, edited in photoshop and then brought it bak to the SDcard, went into the properties file again, and reselected "read only" "hidden" "system" and then brought it bak to \Windows directory then did a soft-reset. Everything worked fine for me...

I also use this for the ROM boot screen...provided there is a kitchen of course *waiting patiently for WM6 kitchen* :)

then put in on as yer rom image, you don't need a kitchen to do that! (you need to search for apachesplash, it can do it via activesync. It also comes with a .nb converter.)

Here are the 2 i use, the all black one is my rom image, and the cityscape is my welcomehead.

I love these, but I can't get the ROM image (1st one) to load. It converts to an nb fine, but I get error messages when I run apachesplash.exe to completion.

I tried to upload of few of my splashscreens, but for some reason the dimensions are limited to 620x280. Since mine are all 240x320... sorry, I don't feel like converting them. But I am attaching a zip with a few of them included. :)
