It comes and goes with me as well. I notice some screens will require it, say, in a certain program, but then when I leave that program open and navigate to the settings screen to realign the screen, THAT screen will be right-on accurate. I think certain programs need re-aligned. Anyone else notice this?

Besides, don't get real swap happy with your 6700. Yeah, you pay insurance, but 9 times out of 10 they'll replace it with a REFURB. That's the fine print in your insurance policy. I know, I went through THREE Samsung i730's over the last year, and every replacement from Verizon is by policy a refurb unit. I'd rather FIX my brand new unit then replace it with a FIXED used unit.

i am having issues again. i need to re-align my screen sometimes 2-3 times daily now. it is driving me nuts. i only notice it when i got turn my speaker back on from silent. it opens the battery info everytime. i have changed nothing, so I am at a loss of words on it.

I was going to start a thread about this... glad this one got revived.
This is almost certainly software/ROM related as this never happened before the 3.5AKU ROM was installed. This is my second 6700 and I've had it for about four months.
A manual screen alignment seems to fix things for about a day- I haven't figured out what the catalyst is that gets the screen unaligned, but it is frustrating when it happens.

mine was not software related... happened in aku 2.x as well. just got it replaced at store with 700wx

Mine has the same problem and so does my friend's 6700. I have to re-align it a couple times a day, and it seems to be brought on by opening the keyboard. So when it switches from landscape/portrait modes it seems to lose the calibration on mine. Rather annoying.

Also both my friends and my 6700 have the same issue where the backlight will sometimes go off and not come back on until you navigate to the settings page and uncheck/check the box again, even though it's still enabled in the first place it just needs to be re-toggled for it to come back on. Other than those two things, it's a great phone.

I think the Screen alignment issue is a common manufacturing flaw. I have never had it on my 6700 and I know some users whom have exchanged their unit and not had it any more.

I also know that some screen protectors cause problems, particularly if they are wedged tight under the corners.
