Just got a ppc 6700

Traded my wx for a PPC 6700

was wondering when im running IM plus and Skype.
I use the off button on top of the PPC to turn off screen but it disables sounds and doesnt let me know if someone send me a msg via skye. Kind of like put it in standby mode.

Is there a way to simply turn off screen but leave everything running inclusing sounds and what not?

any software for this

couple options.

1. u can hold the power button to dim the screen.

2. I'm pretty sure mortsaver a 3rd party app will lock and cut off screen allowing for messages but I'm no sure. I don't use skype myself.

I use deltalock to lock my phone which can be programmed to a button on the side. It does the trick pretty well and has the option of shutting of screen without disabling sounds and notification.
