WinMo 6.1 Blue Rom Sprint Rom Added!
 

Hey guys I am pretty new here and I actually wanted to contribute here and not just lurk and ask for help so I made a 6.1 rom (Yeah I know there are a couple here :D). The rom is fast and light weight. The rom does not include much but I'll have a list of apps later in this post. The whole rom is sort of themed blue so it looks good with the theme named Windows Default. Anyways enough of this nonsense here are the details about the rom.

Apps Installed:

Clear Temp
Magic Button
Messenger
Oxios Hibernate
Pandora Radio
Windows Live
3 Games (Solitaire, BubbleBreaker, Frogger)
The keyboard and calculator are themed blue.

Just request your boot loader version and I will make it for you :D

Note: HTC Home is not included. The one in buildOS doesn't work correctly.

For some strange reason, this ROM is not accepting my Apache. Yet the Bootloader is 2.02 like the file you posted. I'm always getting this Country ID error? Is that maybe the rom is might for Verzion mobile phones?

It does. SMS is threaded by default isn't it? Anyways making your rom now and I should be able to upload by tonight.

Hello friends, I am of Brazil I have a cdma updated the apache rom of 5.0 to 6.0 and I can not enter the menu to change the number. (Previously # 778) I wonder if someone could help me. thanks

@ tweety, how your fam likin' them 6700's? :D

6.1 has threaded SMS by default, older version of Winmo do not have it by default (but can be added :D)
try ##778#
if that doesnt work then use file explorer to browse the windows folder for EPST and launch it ;-)

No problem :).
I will tell you off the bat that with the grey rom (This is really a problem buildOS does) the default theme upon your first startup will say it is the grey theme but really its the green one. To fix it just select another theme and apply it. Go back to the grey theme and apply it again. Problem fixed.
This doesn't happen with the blue rom because the blue Windows Default theme is already part of the rom. For the blue rom just apply the WindowsDefault theme and thats it.
Besides that the rom doesn't have bugs (according to the time I spent using it) but I can understand why you would want other peoples input on this.
If anybody has had any problems with the rom, feel free to say it here and I'll look into it.

Theme issue is no biggie. Quick question on the today screen on the far right top bar when i tap the icon near the battery icon it says desktop is this normal? Any way to put a task manager tab?

hey is there something i am doing something wrong.
I let is sync
start up the RUU
i get to the the updated screen
and kicks the device in to boot loader mode
but it does not start flashing it. it just gets suck when it is checking device info. so i dont know what 2 do

Try putting it into bootloader manually. Hold the power button and record button at the same time. Put the stylus in the soft reset hole. Then plug it in and start the RUU

That is the MagicButton App. It is an app that makes the X button actually close the apps.

error 101, sounds funny but try take out your SD Card? here is where i got that idea...

Haha, I actually made a 6.5 rom and I am using it now. I can make you one if you'd like. I am actually thinking of changing the name of this thread and putting all my roms here.
@pokerrus Trt removing the SD card and if that doesnt work I will try to cook another rom for you to see if it was a problem on my end.

I'd be glad to make one. I need your boot loader version though. Then I can get working on it. This one won't be themed. You can do that stuff yourself :P.
