PIE default download directory: solved!

<edit>
Solution:

Using a registry editor add the following:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Default storage location
"All Files"="\\Storage Card\\Downloads"

Attached is also a reg-entry you can run from your device.

Make sure you have a directory called downloads in the root of your Storage Card or edit the settings after importing - and then reset.

</edit>

I used to have a reg entry for telling PIE where to use as it's default download directory, but I can't find it, and I've searched a lot here.

Any help?

with the same program you are using to look at the reg just do a search in the reg for the location where the files currently are ie profiles\guest\temporary internet files

That would work if I was trying to cange my cache file storage location. But I'm not, I like them in my fast extended rom.

I use my 6700 to browse the net a lot (ppcgeeks mostly) and when I come across a file I want to d-load, I click on it, up comes the save file dialoge box, and I want it to default to the Downloads dir on my storage card. I have had this succesfully in the past (couple roms ago) and it's not really worth loading a backup just for that 1 reg entry, so I was hoping someone here would know where in the reg that is. If not, I'll eventually find it again and I'll post it for those that would like it.

Found it!
If You Use sk tools (eval is fine)
in 'tune up' - 'pie' tab near the top is the place to change this. If any one is interested I'll dig in the reg for the setting...
