Something Is Slowing Down My 6700. What Is It?

Something is slowing down my 6700 but I dont know what. Ive tried a hard reset and reinstalled everything one by one so that maybe I can see what the problem is but I cant pin point it. Here is everything i have installed:

wisbar advance 2
weather panel
iLauncher
1.41 radio
Pocketcm .7
Happy tapping keyboard
live search
tcpmp
resco radio
wordbook
mobipocket
arcsoft mms
ibliss dialer
microsoft reader
net 2.0
quickclear
flash player
aim
memmaid

My phone is especially slow when opening programs. I takes a few seconds before messaging opens up. Any ideas on what is specifically slowing me down?

wisbar advance 2 and/or ilauncher. Go into the the ilauncher tweak settings and change them accordingly. Get rid of one or the other. I would stick with ilauncher just because of the today screen plugin and safe mode option, but it's a matter of preference. If you don't need all the fancy options uninstall both of those programs and just get wisbar lite. You'll notice a tremendous increase in speed after that.

If you've got apps loaded to the SD Card rather than the device itself that will slow things down.

Wisbar Advance is a serious resource hog. Because it skins almost everything, it has to load these images every time you open a program. Try uninstalling wisbar first, then see if that makes much of a difference. Also make sure you dont have multiple applications trying to do the same thing.
Also, it would really help us if you told us what ROM you are using. We can help you more if we know that so we know what settings have/not been done.

Im still using the regular sprint rom. I dont understand how customs roms work being that im new to this. If someone can explain it to me and give me some suggestions that would be great. Will a custom rom improve preformance? And yes i do have alot of programs installed on my sd card but that only because the memory on the device is crap. i only put things on the device that have to go there.

http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatterySt...s.htm#Download

I use that to keep track of the memory left in the device as well as tracking how much space is left for programs on the device as well as the SD card. Also do u delete ur internet explorer history? Cause that can also take up memory on ur device and slow it down. I also use stock rom the only diff. is that i'm verizon, but that doesn't really matter much in this case.

BTW, i don't remember which version of the Battery Status i'm using, i've had it since jan i guess u can say (or somewhere around there).

The custom roms are extremely easy to use. Just go to HelmiC's sticky at the top of the apache forum and download the kitchen. There is a walkthrough inside that will help you with installing a custom rom. The custom roms are soooo much faster than any of the stock roms and you will have the option to install almost all of those programs you already have built into the rom and will have plenty of memory left over to install anything you want onto the device rather than the storage card.
On a side note, if you still decide not to use the custom rom and stick with the stock rom, install things like Wisbar, iLauncher, PocketCM, CF2 and Weather Panel, and anything else that loads on startup or has a today screen plugin to your Device because they need to load the quickest. Most of the other things can be installed onto the storage card but they will be much slower.
Discussed a little here: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/how-do-you-d...rage+card.html

Using a custom rom is still the best solution. If you really want something simple download the Phoenix06 custom rom. He already has one built specifically for Sprint. I would still recommend trying the HelmiC kitchen, but if you really dont want to take a little time to learn about it then Phoenix had a Sprint rom, although it may have some programs you dont really want. Here is the link: http://ppcgeeks.com/viewtopic.php?t=...f88c1499c9092c

Let me know what you decide and how everything works out.
