New Cube is loaded on my APache and being tested woo Hoo


I have been beta testing a Cube that runs on the Apache. The guy who is working on it is still changing and creating some icons. It runs pretty fast and uses flash. Here is a screen capture. When you slide or click in the lower left or right the cube rotates.

I am waiting to here back from him before I post up any files. I have replied to all the PMs I got. Like I said he is still working on the app. He and a group of guys have some killer flash web pages if you do a search on his email address in Yahoo.

I just sent him an email to help test out the app on my mogul and apache. Awaiting a reply...

The programmer is on vacation at the moment. I found this out from a Hungarian webpage.

Just a little FYI he has a photo dialer on the cube that is also in the works. Along with a flash today screen that looks pretty interesting.

Heres is a video of the new front page. The guy in the video doesnt have any pictures on the cube for the photo touch dail.

This is pretty cool, but I hope the developer makes this skinnable so we can replace those cursive words at the bottom of each screen with something a little cleaner.

yea me too...its pretty cool, you pretty much gotta configure it yourself, which is no big deal...
Im sure you guys can give him a hand in pre-setting up most of the icons and whatnot.

Its flash based (you need to download flashlite 2.1 for ppc)

he is asking for some help with someone that is fluent in c++ to clean it up a bit.

He has asked that you email him for the files therefore I am going to respect that request. I will give you his email address if you PM Me.

(He is hungarian and doesnt speak much English, so if you can use a translator to smooth it out it would be great, im sure he is goin to respond in English using a translator himself)

CellFreak,how did you configure the icons to display? i must be an idiot :roll: .

EDIT: I AM AN IDIOT. :oops: You have to create a folder in the cube file for the "Icons" and the "Contacticons" Then move the 1_1 - 4_6 into Icons folder. Move the Fav1-Fav6 into the "Contactsicon" folder. DUH

Does this work for the mogul?

I have it working pretty well with the interface. i love this it is soooo cool. here are a few issues. I am not complaining just giving you the info as a tester. Thanks for all of the hard work
*Is there a way to change the clock to 12 hour?
* the bottom rght key quits program not the left
*Is there a way to change color of background?
*MS ActiveSync comes up with connection error after i placed a shortcut into start menu
*it does not alway open the programs that are in the storage card. seems like it is not "connecting" all the time

Yes, the 12 hours format not avaible yet,
The bottom left signal icon if you touch that, the cube will invisible, you back to the main screen, if you touch on the right signal icon, the program quit from the your ppc.
The your AS problem not will from cube, You simple copy this program any folder for your ppc. If you making a simple shortcut from the cube.swf file in start menu/programs, that not induce AS problem on your PC.
If you like running any programs from this cube, the good way for command: (example)

&NameX= YourApplicationOnStorageCard &CommandX="..\Storage Card\Program Files\TCPMP\player.exe"

or simple from start menu (that also if program is the storageCard):

&NameX= YourApplicationOnStorageCard &CommandX="../Windows/Start Menu/Programs/iGO My way 2006 Plus.lnk"

My PPC include MiniSD card, it is possible, on your ppc any the good CommadndWay.

(My ppc the HTC Wizard, with wm6 turbo NBD7.4 cube ROM)

Got this up and running with everything mapped out last night, great work!

Great program, had no problems configuring it. Any chance of making the main screen a lock screen with additional information. For example appointments, missed calls etc.

I have the same Activesync problem did you find out a solution?

I don't think, this problem is from cube, this application simple FlashLite swf file.

You try close this app (click on the right signal icon) if not be AS problem, that in reality bring this.

The cube on my ppc running some month, I'm haven't connection problem.

CUBE stay on top
 

I like everything about CUBE except one major thing. When I hit the red "end call" button on my PPC6700 or the OK button, CUBE minimizes. As you know, the red "end call" button ends a call and the OK button will automatically minimize or close most any app on the ppc6700. After making a phone call, it is natural to hit the red "end call" button to hang up. This automatically minimizes the CUBE as well. I don't have that issue with the "Grumps Iphone" program downloaded from this website. I can hit the red "end call" button or OK button all day long and Grumps iPhone stays on top. I like that very much.
Is it possible to keep this CUBE on top and make it not close/minimize when pressing the red "end call" and OK buttons?

I LOVE the CUBE, and would use it as my primary desktop if it wouldn't minimize.

Yes, I can this bug.

This application running through FlashLite.
If be an exe frame on this simple CUBE.swf file, then probably break off this bug.

I found another bug.
I had the same activesync error. It wouldnt connect with Flash installed. i unistalled Flash and it now works. It may be something with the Apache. The second is when you select a contact and then dial the screen below bleed s through at the top.

I closed all of the apps and the ActiveSync issue was resolved. It also does not seem to cover the entire screen. the left hand side of the screen has a portion of the background picture showing.

I tested this out on my mogul and i'm happy to say it's working great....good job ByKa

Configuration Program
 

Here is a program I wrote to configure the cube. It allows import/resizing/conversion of images, setting up the links, etc. Hope this helps make everything easier. Any suggestions are welcome.
