Regarding PocketCM...

I was having an odd issue with the OEM I generated for CM.11. For some reason, CM was not showing up in the Running Programs list nor was it visible in the SPB Pocket Plus task manager. Does PCM show up as a running app using the new PCM.5 OEM?

After installing the rom, my storage card doesn't work. . . It doesn't let me open, or copy any files i have on it??? is there a fix?

Please read this thread in full first. Someone else has already reported that issue.

Edit: And the fix is either to use the nk.fat file from the 1.0.2 kitchen or wait for the next kitchen to be released.

Kolano -

PocketCM comes up properly for me in HTC Task Manager, no problems.

Has anyone changed the colors in PocketCM?

I like the look of the previous version, but it did not reliably scroll to the selected letter. The new version works much better, but the plain white is boring.

Mbial - is yours white? I am going to try a new Kitchen with this version of CM.

That's odd...the default theme for PocketCM is the grey and blue color scheme (just like portrait mode of Contact Manager 0.11) Do you have the theme.cmt file in your Optional_PocketCM0.5 folder?

I haven't used it in a ROM yet. The last ROM I flashed had .11 in it, so I cant replace it. I tried .5 and it is white - just put the proggy on my storage card and launched it.

Will try your OEM in a new ROM.

Removing Windows Media Player makes ring tones unavailable

In BuildOS, I unchecked the option to install Windows Media Player because I prefer the TCPMP player, which I checked. Then I discovered that when I went to the phone settings to change my ring tone, the only available ring tone was "Windows Default". All the other ring tones (including the other OEM ring tones) were simply unavailable. When I reran BuildOS and rechecked the Windows Media Player option, all was well again with all of the ring tones showing again in the phone settings. I reflashed multiple times and found this behavior was true regardless of whether I checked or unchecked the additional ring tones option.

I don't think this is a bug in the kitchen per se, but if others experience this problem it probably should be mentioned in the release notes. Maybe there is a workaround, but I haven't been able to find it scanning the forum.

Any Alltel users (Answerman, CaptainJager?) run into this? I'm going to start over with a new build today and just leave all the optional folders in and see what happens.

Started over this morning with 1.0.3 and everything worked OK aside from the Time issue; took the nk.fat from 1.0.2, re-cooked, and everything seems to be running smoothly.
