Advance Exchange Replacement

As of 12:20pm Pacific Time on 04/13/09, Sprints Advance Exchange website is replacing 6700's with your choice of Touch Pro or Mogul. If you are having issues with your 6700, now would be a good time to fix it if you have the $7 TEP.

They are still giving your choice of a Mogul or a Touch Pro as of 04/24/09. Now is the time to upgrade if you are having problems. I personally went through 7 different replacements between 2 lines on my account...

Well, My D-pad is not working right, so I have gone for it and ordered a replacement... As of Tuesday, April 28th, they still have Touch Pros on the list, so that is what I asked for... Will let everyone know in 2-3 business days what I actually get...

Well, at 6pm today, UPS dropped off my Touch Pro... I have activated it and am using it now to talk here... It only comes with the phone itself and a battery, plus a return package for the 6700... I will miss my old friend, but must say the Touch Pro is a great upgrade... I'll play with the stock ROM a few days, while I wait for the silicone case, dock, and and screen protector I ordered from Amazon to show.. You my still c me in the Apache forum as I still have a couple I use as testers for RoMs...

Oh, be warned the say they can charge a fee ($75-125) if the phone you send back is not broken... Still worth the money if you aask me...

Report your 6700 lost. Then you won't have to send it back...

Shame.. I still have my 6700, don't have protection on it though, and only real issue is the keyboard is getting finicky.

I try to keep it honest...

In any case I have 2 other 6700s I can borrow if I really want to... One is a full time Garmin GPS (via Garmin XT), and the other is a full time Wi Fi Weather Station (via Weather Panel).

The #1 problem (I have) with the Apache is the Internal Memory is just too small for the newest OS versions. Not that you can't do some great stuff with it, but you can do so much more with the newer phones...

That said, I will likely buy a used 6700 to play with, as it really is almost un-brickable.
