In any case I have 2 other 6700s I can borrow if I really want to... One is a full time Garmin GPS (via Garmin XT), and the other is a full time Wi Fi Weather Station (via Weather Panel).

The #1 problem (I have) with the Apache is the Internal Memory is just too small for the newest OS versions. Not that you can't do some great stuff with it, but you can do so much more with the newer phones...

That said, I will likely buy a used 6700 to play with, as it really is almost un-brickable.

Yeah I guess lol. As far as memory issues, none is worse than the Mogul. The Apache is limited, but not as bad as Mogul. And yeah, the Apache is pretty much totaly un-brickable.

Re: Advance Exchange Replacement

Has anyone done this process lately? I have two Apache's that are getting really beat up after years of dedicated service. I love my Apache but am ready for something lighter. I started to click on the link but wasn't sure how the process went, so I didn't proceed. Does anyone know, when you do the AERP via the web link, do you get to choose your replacement product without having the hassle of talking to someone, or do you just fill it out and pray they send you something other than a refurb 6700? If someone who has done this advance exchange program recently could please post how they did it and what phone they received I'd be very grateful. Screen shots would be even better!
