Sweeeet! I downloaded from the link provided in post #24 above, extracted the two files into a folder on my hard drive then put that folder onto my micro SD card and ran the appy from there. This worked out great.

i copied both extracted files from post 24 over the phone but when i run the app on my 6700, i'm getting "the file GetSPC cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found..." any help?

You need to "Disable Signed Certificate". Here is a link to a thread which has that and other registry hacks which you may find useful

It was a program that HTC originally released on the Titan update. Its essentially a keygen that calculates what the SPC/MSL should be from the hexadecimal ESN.

It was turned into a program that dumps the SPC/MSL and then ported also to run on WM5.

It only works on HTC devices but it gives you your code in no time.

Enter it in all caps to get the correct code.
It appears that the link is no longer in the Forum's database because I got a #404 error. Any other way to that link/

using most current stock rom from htc that released on mar.10.08 and when i type ##778# under data parameters it shows Rev.A = disable

does anyone know why this is and does this affect my download speeds I was under impression that this new rom was to enable rev.a

I was able to get agps to work just wondering if there is a way to enable rev.a under data parameters or if this is something different
